Hebrews 11:1 reminds us that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. And James 2 teaches us that faith without works is dead.

When God’s Word speaks, move in the direction of what He said. Take the step. Do your part in faith, obedience, and action—and trust God to do what only He can do.

Faith doesn’t just believe. Faith moves.

The Importance of Prayer and the Study of the Word

Prayer and the study of God’s Word are essential parts of a strong and healthy Christian life. Just as our physical bodies need food every day, our spirits also need to be nourished daily through time with God.

Philippians 4:6–7
Prayer keeps us connected to God. It gives us the opportunity to speak with Him, thank Him, worship Him, bring our needs before Him, and seek His direction. Prayer is not only about asking God for things; it is also about developing a deeper relationship with Him. When we pray consistently, we become more aware of His presence and more sensitive to His leading.

Psalm 119:105
Studying the Bible helps us know God and understand His will. God’s Word gives us wisdom, correction, encouragement, and direction for everyday life. The Word of God helps us make wise decisions and keeps us grounded when the world around us is constantly changing. Daily study renews our minds.

Romans 12:2
The Renews our Minds
Daily study renew our minds. Transformation comes through the renewing of our minds. The more we fill our hearts and minds with God’s truth, the more our thoughts, attitudes, words, and actions begin to reflect Christ.

Prayer and the Word work together. Through prayer, we speak to God; through His Word, God speaks to us. When both become part of our daily lives, our relationship with God grows stronger.

Matthew 6:33
Prayer strengthens our relationship with God, and His Word strengthens our faith. Together they help us grow spiritually, remain focused, and live according to God’s purpose.

Make time for God every day. Pray, read His Word, listen for His direction, and allow Him to shape your heart.

“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 15:57

No matter what we face, our victory is found in Jesus. Sin, fear, and even death do not have the final word. Christ does. And that we can be thankful for.

1 John 5:4
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Proverbs 18:14 (AMPC)
“The strong spirit of a man sustains him in bodily pain or trouble, but a weak and broken spirit who can raise up or bear?”

A strong spirit helps you withstand pressure, resist temptation, hold on to what you have received from God, and strengthen others.

1. You remain steady under pressure.
You may feel the pressure, but you don’t allow it to control you. Your circumstances do not determine your response.

2. You are governed by the Word, not by your feelings.
Instead of allowing fear, anger, disappointment, or frustration to make your decisions, you ask: “What does God say?”

3. You recover quickly from discouragement.
You may get knocked down, but you don’t stay down.

📖 Psalm 37:24
“Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down…”

4. You have spiritual hunger.
There is a deep desire in you for God’s presence, His Word, righteousness, prayer, worship, and spiritual growth. You don’t always need someone to push you to seek God—you desire Him for yourself.

5. You are sensitive and obedient to the Holy Spirit.
When God corrects you, leads you, or warns you, you respond instead of resisting Him.

6. You control your mouth.
You don’t speak every emotion, negative thought, or offense that comes to mind. Your words are marked by faith, wisdom, truth, and restraint.

📖 Proverbs 8:7–8

7. You are not easily offended.
You choose forgiveness over bitterness and refuse to allow the actions of others to steal your peace.

8. You have spiritual endurance.
📖 Psalm 16:8
“I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.”

You keep praying.
You keep believing.
You keep serving.
You keep obeying—even when the results don’t come immediately.

9. You can receive correction.
📖 Proverbs 9:8–9
“Rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser…”

A strong spirit is teachable. It doesn’t become defensive every time an area of growth is pointed out.

10. You have inner peace and confidence in God.
Your confidence is not based on perfect circumstances. You know God is with you, and you trust Him to sustain you.

11. You resist temptation.
📖 James 4:7

You learn to say no to the flesh, wrong desires, and unhealthy habits because your spirit is becoming stronger than the pressure around you.

12. You strengthen others.
📖 Hebrews 10:24–25

Instead of always needing someone else to carry you, you become someone who can encourage, pray for, strengthen, and support others.

A strong spirit is not developed overnight. It is built through time with God, His Word, prayer, obedience, and consistent spiritual growth.

Good Morning,
Tomorrow is our men’s meeting, and I’m really excited about it!

Just a quick note: this meeting will be in English only because our speaker will be joining us via Zoom from the United States. Since he’ll be speaking remotely, it would be quite difficult to translate at the same time.

We are asking everyone to be on time, you don't want to miss anything. We will start promptly at 9:00am

Looking forward to a great meeting together!

John 15:7

“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”

The Word of God cannot abide—live and remain—in you if you are not continually putting it into your spirit through personal study, meditation, and fellowship with God.

Being able to teach or explain the Word does not necessarily mean that you have a strong spirit. Knowledge of Scripture is not the same as allowing Scripture to dwell richly within you and transform your life.

I have found that many pastors and ministers only open their Bibles when it is time to prepare a message or teach the Word. This is not healthy. How can we truly represent the Lord Jesus, or even grow in knowing Him, if we are not personally spending time in His Word?

Before the Word flows through us publicly, it must first live within us privately.

This is why personal time in the Word is essential. We must not only study to teach others; we must study to know Christ, strengthen our spirits, and allow His Word to shape who we are.
