Grace and peace in Christ,

The weather is getting warmer; the sun is out; RELISH is turning 11!

Two reminders for this week:
On Friday (TODAY :D) from 18:00-19:30, we will have Soul Supper Potluck at the Lampen house! There will be a group from Arizona coming, and Jeff and I are so excited for them to get to meet you! The “technical” meal theme is “Tex Mex” but really bring anything to share! If you need our address, please DM us :).

Second, this upcoming Sunday is both Pentecost and RELISH’s 11th Birthday! After church from 11:30-12:30, instead of cookies and tea, we will head to the Waterloo Biergarten together to celebrate 🎉. We would love it if you could join us!

Grace and peace, RELISH family and Happy Easter!

Christ is Risen!

There are a few announcements:
* Tomorrow evening, we will have a Soul Supper at the Lampen house (Podbielskistraße 126) from 18:00-19:30 - everyone is invited for this potluck meal and time of sharing, fellowship, and prayer!
* On Sunday, 12 April, we will have RELISH at 11:30 along with our siblings in the German congregation. The service will be bilingual and we will get to celebrate communion together as well! Please be mindful that the Hannover Marathon will be happening earlier in the morning, so there could be more people down by the church.
* For communion, as we prepare to come together to the table, it is good to think about places where we can seek reconciliation or reconnection with someone. All are welcome to the table, and we very much look forward to celebrating together.

Grace and peace on this sunny morning in Hannover!

Oh Jesus, thank you for this sun - we are reminded that even in a time of deep suffering in the world that Christ is still the Light of the World.

This evening, from 19:00-20:00, we invite you to come to church to watch a performance of parts of the book of Acts. Here is a little blurb about the performance:

Northwestern College’s Drama Ministries Ensemble is a group of actors committed to performing passages from the Bible in worship-related settings. This year our performance, titled “A Vital Church Grows,” highlights the story of the early church. We begin in Acts 2:1 and end in Acts 6:7. This performance is a reflection on the power of the Holy Spirit and God’s intention that the Church be a place for all people.

And then, tomorrow, 8 March, at 11:30, we invite you to RELISH worship! We look forward to seeing you soon!

Herzliche EINLADUNG zum Theaterstück "A Vital Church Grows" am Samstag, den 7. März um 19 Uhr

Das Drama Ministries Ensemble des Christlichen Northwestern College im Bundesstaat Iowa (USA) ist eine Gruppe von Studierenden, die sich der Aufführung von Passagen aus der Bibel in einem gottesdienstlichen Rahmen verschrieben hat.

Die Gruppe besucht Kirchen in Europa und kommt auf Einladung unserer englischsprachigen Gemeindegruppe (RELISH) auch nach Hannover mit einer Darbietung unter dem Titel „A Vital Church Grows” (Eine lebendige Kirche wächst). Die Aufführung steht ganz im Zeichen der Geschichte der frühen Kirche. Sie beginnt mit dem Pfingstwunder (Apostelgeschichte 2,1) und endet mit Apostelgeschichte 6,7.

Diese Aufführung ist eine Besinnung auf die Kraft des Heiligen Geistes und Gottes Absicht, dass die Kirche ein Ort für alle Menschen sein soll.
Die Aufführung ist in englischer Sprache und findet in unserer Kirche statt.
Der Eintritt ist frei. Herzlich Willkommen 😊

Grace and peace, RELISH fam!

We know this is coming out a little bit earlier in the week, but as the Lampen family will be on retreat with other RCA personnel, we wanted to make sure we still shared! RELISH will worship together on 22 February, at 11:30 AM, and we are grateful that Paul Oppenheim will lead us in the sermon.

A note: Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday, and the beginning of Lent. Jeff and I will be sending out a prayer, poem, or scriptural passage through the RELISH whatsapp group every day of lent. If you are not a part of that group and would like to be, please reach out to either of us and let us know!
