Spring cleaning ✨

We want to tidy up and clean our church.

We start at 10 am and end around 3 pm. You are welcome to join as much as you want/can, even for just 1 hour.

There will be pizza for everyone in between...

As part of the Service, we will have Holy Communion.

After the Service, join us for a delicious potluck lunch. You are invited to bring a savoury or sweet dish to share!

THANKSGIVING TABLE
You are invited to be part of our Thanksgiving Table, a table with items that will be donated to a Food Bank in Hamm.

You are welcome to bring fruits, vegetables, canned food or other.

HELPING HANDS
Help is always welcome to set up before (9:30am) or clean up after.

Another Sunday, another sermon full of wisdom. Pastor Edgar is again teaching us trust the Lord, to give him the space to do HIS work, and not run to catch him. If we do, we might fall or stumble in his way.

To prepare us for it, we need to clean ourselves, make ourselves ready for the Lord, “…, for tomorrow the Lord will do wonders among you.”

He also spoke about the importance of empty ourselves in order to receive. When we pause and listen, we can hear the Lord.

Don’t think you have all the answers, listen carefully, you might get the hint of what’s next.

Thank you Pastor Edgar for a beautiful sermon on Forgiveness, a forgotten art in these times.

“And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.”
-Matthew 6:12

4 misunderstandings of Forgiveness:

1. It means understanding why they did it — Understanding can make it easier. But forgiveness passes understanding, it is not required to forgive.
2. The assumption that we will only forgive when we see changes in the person that wronged us — Forgiveness is independent on the action of the debtor. We must disconnect our willingness to forgive from the person.
3. Forgiveness means forgetting - Sometimes, forgetting is not something we can do. Here, forgiveness becomes greater and it provides us the most relief.
4. Forgiveness is the same as reconciliation-Reconciliation requires two people that are willing to repair the relationship, forgiveness only needs one, you.
