The solution to a stony heart isn’t more hype—it’s more depth.

🌿 “He has no root in himself…” That’s what Jesus said about the one who stumbles when life gets hard (Matt. 13:21).

But you can change that. How? Meditation.

Not just reading. Pondering. Speaking. Letting the Word alter your inner world.

That’s how you grow roots that hold—even when storms hit.

Did you know that most of our challenges disappear when we eliminate fear (unbelief)?

Fear (unbelief) is a spirit that stands in the way of receiving anything good in life.

The Bible reveals what causes fear (unbelief) and how to overcome it.

In Matthew 13, the Bible describes the condition of different kinds of hearts and how each responds to God’s purpose.

We’ve already discussed the “wayside” heart, which represents someone who chooses their own path instead of God’s. This makes it difficult to receive God’s plan and purpose. Repentance is key to getting back on track.

Last week, we began discussing the stony or rocky heart—one that lacks depth. It receives the word with excitement, but when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, the person stumbles and falls away.

We started exploring the solutions, and we’ll continue today, Friday, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Zoom.

All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
All things are made through the Word of God. Therefore, anything that does not have its root in the Word is a lie—empty, without substance, and without foundation.

This understanding only comes when you truly recognise the Word of God as the ultimate truth.

Let God be true, and every man—along with any other voice—a liar.

The Rocky Ground: Represents those who hear the word and “at once receive it with joy,” but “since they have no root,” they “last only a short time.” When “trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.” The example of Peter walking on water (Matthew 14) is used. Peter initially walked by faith in Jesus’ word (“Come,” he said), but “when he saw the wind, he was afraid” and began to sink due to a lack of root and the emergence of doubt (“you of little faith...Why did you doubt?”).

💭 Have you ever asked yourself these questions…?
"Why can't I see the results of my prayers?"
"This thing doesn't work."
"I’ve been a Christian for years and never really experienced the hand of God."
"Why is there no change?"

Sometimes, after praying and praying, the situation doesn’t change—or even gets worse. Maybe, like some, it ended in loss… and you find yourself wondering:
“Is this really true?”

🙏 I understand your pain.
I remember when my wife and I lost our second child. She was still going through severe pain, and it was one of the hardest moments of our lives. I could’ve easily said, “God didn’t help” or “He didn’t hear us.” I could’ve even played the religious card: “Maybe it was the will of God.”

But the truth?
All of that… was just us.

God had already made everything available.
We just couldn’t take it—because belief was present, but unbelief was hiding somewhere too.

We often take the easy road—blaming others, offering excuses, or hiding behind spiritual phrases.
But have you truly taken time to reflect inwardly?

📖 Here’s the truth:
God does not lie. His Word is true.
So if the Word isn’t working, the issue lies with the one receiving it.

Thankfully, God gave us His Word to help diagnose our hearts—
Take a look at Matthew 13.

Wayside: Your own path = no understanding.
Stony Ground: No depth = no endurance.
Among Thorns: Choked by worries and deceitfulness of riches.
Good Ground: Understanding = fruit.

Understanding this could be the key to overcoming unbelief and finally walking in the reality of God’s promises.

No growth. No fruit. No transformation.”

When our hearts are like the wayside, hardened by our own ways and distracted by the world, it becomes difficult to believe or receive the word of God. Which in it dwells all that we need.

It’s not that the seed isn’t powerful... it’s that the soil isn’t ready.

It’s time to soften the soil.
Let God’s Word produce fruit in you.

“Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

“For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

What is His name?

(Philippians 2:9–11)
God has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow—of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth—and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Call on His name—Jesus!

The only thing keeping us from reaching the next level is unbelief.

The Scriptures make us understand that the works were finished before the foundation of the world. This means that whatever we need or whoever we want to become is already available and given to us. The only obstacle is unbelief.

The Bible says, “All things (not some things) are possible to those who believe.”

Today’s Bible study will focus on how to eliminate unbelief.

You see, the problem is not just that you don’t believe—you also have unbelief. The Bible also says that a double-minded person cannot receive anything from the Lord.

We are addressing this today because we understand that belief was the key Enoch used to walk with God—to the point that he did not see death, and God took him.

*Thank God It’s Friday!*

It’s time to train ourselves in righteousness.

“Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this life.”
Acts 5:20

God has offered us a new kind of life in Christ Jesus. The Bible says that when you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, you are qualified to be a partaker of the divine nature of God.

You are invited to walk in the supernatural. However, just as normal human life must acquire the knowledge that sustains it to reach its full potential, so must our spiritual life.

“As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue.”
2 Peter 1:3

We are called to glory and virtue, but this is attained through the knowledge of Him.

In our Bible study, we have been exploring the channels through which we can know God. We have already discussed knowing Him through the Word, and today, we will conclude that and explore another channel, believing.

You shouldn’t miss this! Understanding this will help us to reveal God daily in our lives.
