Last weekend we explored a bold truth: The African God is not the true God.

This “African God” is not the God of the Bible, but a construct born from cultural fears, ancestral traditions, and limited understanding of who God truly is.

For centuries, cultural beliefs have been blended with Christianity, creating a God who is approached with fear instead of faith, rituals instead of relationship, and traditions instead of truth.

But the God of Scripture calls us to:

Exchange culture for covenant – God’s promises are greater than our traditions.

Trade rituals for relationship – He desires intimacy, not empty practices.

Replace fear with faith – Perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18).
