Perch fishing in reeds and shallow zones is one of the most dynamic forms of modern spinning. W**d beds, reed edges and shallow banks between 1–3 meters are classic ambush spots. Especially during low light conditions or slightly coloured water, perch move up to hunt baitfish and crayfish in warmer shallows.

Presentation is everything:

The presentation of those nightcrawlers was simply too tempting to ignore.

Catfish are true nocturnal predators.
During the day they stay deep, holding close to drop-offs, undercut banks or holes on the bottom. But once dusk sets in, they start cruising.

For successful catfishing, what matters is:

Small lakes are often underestimated.

They may look ordinary from the outside. No vast waters, no spectacular scenery. Yet sometimes, the biggest carp dreams swim exactly there.

On small club lakes, size has nothing to do with surface area. Old, experienced carp that have lived there for years know every structure, every bush, every escape route. Success here isn’t about complicated systems — it’s about patience, precise presentation and trust in your rig.

The hair rig proves its strength in these situations. Subtle presentation, secure hooking and reliable self-hooking mechanics. Combined with controlled, accurate baiting using boilies or pellets, even small waters can deliver unforgettable moments.

Some of the hardest fights don’t happen on giant reservoirs — but where you least expect them.
