Liebe Geschwister im progressiven Glauben, liebe Interessierte,
nach bereits zwei sehr inspirierenden Treffen voller bunter Vielfalt und interreligiösem Austausch, geht BEYOND. im Oktober bereits in die dritte Runde!
Am 16. Oktober laden wir daher herzlich in die Räumlichkeiten der Evangelisch Französisch-reformierten Gemeinde Frankfurt ein.
Thematisch bewegen wir uns auch dieses Mal innerhalb mehrere spannender Felder: Einerseits wird es wieder die bewährte Kategorie Projekt geben, in der dieses Mal die Rainbow Refugees ihre bereits durch den Integrationspreis ausgezeichnete, ehrenamtliche Arbeit vorstellen. Andererseits erwartet uns in der Kategorie Geographischer Schwerpunkt dieses Mal ein sommerlicher Erlebnis- und Vernetzungsbericht von Peter Dennebaum, der uns von potentiellen Kooperationen mit Menschen in verschiedenen südosteuropäischen Staaten berichten wird, die er im Laufe dieses Sommers besucht haben wird. Ebenso wird es wieder einen religionsübergreifenden spirituellen Input geben und auch Zeit für Organisatorisches sowie Vernetzung untereinander sind fest eingeplant!
Eine kleine Bitte haben wir noch: Bringt bitte wieder etwas Essen zum Teilen mit den anderen mit, damit wir alle an diesem Abend an Leib und Seele satt werden! Danke J

Rev. John Dorhauer, president of the United Church of Christ (UCC) in the US, gave us with his book "Beyond Resistance" (2015) the title for our project: "Beyond. European Network for Progressive Faith and Social Justice:" The idea: Extraordinary Welcome and radical inclusion of everyone, who defines him-/herself as progressive - no matter from which faith tradition you come from!

For me e.g. the faith tradition somebody comes from is not as important as the inclusiveness and love somebody shares. This way progressive Muslims, Jews, Buddhists etc., who are with me as gay man are for me much closer than many evangelical, Pentecostal, orthodox or fundamentalistic Christians, who should be in theory my "sisters and brothers", but judge or exclude me because of my sexual orientation. The same issue we often find according to women or Human Rights.

We need a progressive network for Europe as counterpart to the right-wing and right-populists movements on our Continent! We will not allow them to change the peaceful and tolerant Europe-DNA! It is time to fight back! It is time to stand up and to organize ourselves! We have now stood up and will not go back in our closets until we have reached and secured the Europe we dream about!

At our first network meeting on Mo, January 28, 2019 we met e.g. two Muslim sisters and brothers, who belong to the Liberal Muslim Union. I am grateful for this meeting and I am looking forward to our next steps, developing together inter-religious prayers around our shared meals and our common fight for human rights in our wonderful Europe.

One of our goals is the organization of inter-religious face-to-face encounter tours supporting the peaceful and social just idea across Europe. Join us and connect yourself with this movement!

Our next meeting will be on March, 27th 2019.
