Dearly beloved parishioners,
With great joy and thanksgiving to God, we would like to share some wonderful news concerning our UK–Europe & Africa Diocese of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church.
By the abundant grace and providence of God, our Diocese has been blessed with the purchase of a new Diocesan property in Bromley, London. The property will serve as a new home and headquarters for our Diocese and includes a Chapel, adjoining hall, office facilities, residential accommodation and parking facilities.
His Eminence Abraham Mar Stephanos Metropolitan, our Diocesan Metropolitan, has informed the clergy and faithful that, God willing, the Diocese will take possession of the property on Tuesday, 1 September 2026.
This is a significant and historic milestone in the journey of our Diocese. It is the fruit of many years of prayer, vision, sacrifice and generous support from clergy and faithful throughout the Diocese. We give thanks to God for making possible what was once only a hope and a prayer.
As the new property is in the United Kingdom, we are not arranging participation from our parish in Germany for tomorrow’s gathering. Nevertheless, as members of the same Diocese, this is a joyful occasion for all of us. We are invited to join spiritually in thanksgiving and prayer.
Let us especially pray for His Eminence Abraham Mar Stephanos Metropolitan, for all those who worked tirelessly towards acquiring this property, and for everyone who contributed through their prayers, efforts and financial support.
May this new Diocesan home become a place of prayer, fellowship, service and witness to Christ, serving our Church and generations to come.
May God bless our Diocese and all its faithful, and may everything undertaken from this new home be for the glory of His Holy Name.
“The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.” — Psalm 126:3
With prayers and thanksgiving. 🙏
