We look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible this coming Saturday, 11 July at our annual Summer Fête at All Saints, from 12–4pm!

With refreshments, book sale, hand crafted goods, cream teas, homemade treats and fun for the all the family. We hope our younger guests will have a blast on the bouncy castle! The grill will be hot, the drinks refreshing, and the scones nice and fresh!

We will begin setting up on Friday evening, from 5–6 pm, bringing benches, tables and other equipment out of the cellar, and by setting out the books in the nave for the book sale.

On Saturday morning, we will complete set-up, starting at 10 am, setting up the gazebos, tables and benches, and putting on all the finishing touches. And then after the Fête ends at 4pm, clean-up begins, and we pack it all away again.

If you can help in any way, especially with the set-up and then clean-up, we warmly welcome your help and support! If you have any questions, you can contact Carrie, Ranti or Patra, or Annette, Cologne churchwarden.

Additionally, we are still looking for contributions to the bottle stall (this is a tombola, but for things that come in bottles)! This can range from a bottle of a favourite wine, or that type of schnapps you said you liked one time and now you have a couple extra sitting unopened on a shelf, to a unique hot sauce or unusual type of soft drinks — and everything in between. It can be something you'd like to win yourself, or something you hope somebody else enjoys so you don't have to!

We only ask that the bottles be unopened and the contents shelf stable. Bottle contributions can be brought to All Saints on Friday evening or Saturday morning.

Hope you see there!

Today, 5 June, the Church commemorates St Boniface, for whom our congregation in Bonn is named. Boniface (c. 675 – 5 June 754), known as the Apostle of the Germans, was an English Benedictine monk who gave up being elected abbot to devote his life to the conversion of the Germanic tribes. He also began a number of monasteries as centers of learning and faith. His life ended in martyrdom at the hands of a band of Frisians, who killed him as he was reading the Scriptures to newly converted Christians on Pentecost Sunday. Boniface profoundly influenced the course of intellectual, political, and ecclesiastical history in Germany and France throughout the Middle Ages. His monasteries furnished bishops and teachers for many generations.
