WE ARE STANDING ON YOUR SIDE!
Dear visitors of the DEHONIAN-Monastery Berlin,
We would like to wish you a happy and blessed Easter.
Easter is DIFFERENT this year, because we and you lack the common services as a congregation.These days are not easy for many, especially because it's been dragging on for so long. We feel displeasure about this situation, especially with regard to the ban on services. It was not and has not been an easy decision by our Bishop Heiner Koch to cancel all public services following the ban on assembly. We do not know how much the real danger is to us these days, even if some want to downplay the danger.
But despite this ban on assembly, we can continue to keep our doors open to the churches so that a private prayer, the single reception of sacraments and a pastoral consultation remain possible. We do everything we can to comply with the requirements of the safety distance.
We know that offering online services is not a permanent substitute for a community service, but please take it as a help during these hard times. Please see it as a way to stay in touch with us.
We also don't know how long this time will last without public services, but we will have an open ear and if necessary, also a helping hand. Please forgive us if we overlook or do something wrong, we too are trapped in this situation looking for ways and possibilities. Get in touch if you or other believers here in the neighborhood want to receive Holy Communion or Confession these days, we will find a possible way to each other.
Stay protected and let yourself be taken into this OTHER Easter time.
