Today was Back to School Sunday! 🎒📚

As a church family, we gathered around our children, parents, and teachers and prayed for them as a new school year begins.

We prayed for wisdom as they learn, courage as they face new challenges, good friendships, patient and loving teachers, strength for parents, and God’s protection and presence in every classroom and school. 🙏

And our prayers don’t end today.

As the new school year begins, let’s continue to pray for the children, students, parents, teachers, educators, and schools in our community. May they know that their church family is standing with them - and, above all, that God goes with them wherever they go. ❤️

🎒 Back to School & Move Up Sunday! 🎉

This Sunday is going to be a special one for our kids and families!

As a new school year begins, we want to honor, celebrate, and pray for all our children as they step into everything this new season holds. Every child will receive a small gift — and of course, there will be plenty of fun! 🙏🎁

It’s also Move Up Sunday! Some of our kids are moving up to a new age group, which means new classrooms, new teachers, new friends, and new adventures as they continue to grow in their faith. 🌱

📸 And families: don’t miss our Back to School Photo Booth! Come ready to capture a new family picture together.

We can’t wait to celebrate our kids and pray God’s blessing over them for the year ahead. 💛

What if people could recognize that we belong to Jesus — not because of a cross around our neck or a Christian symbol on our shirt, but because of our character, our words, our compassion, and ultimately, the way we love others?

God is not finished with us.

As we step into a season of transition to become an independent church, we can learn from the church in Antioch.

Antioch was born in a time of disruption. Yet God was at work. People from different nations and backgrounds became one family in Jesus. They worshiped, prayed, fasted, listened to the Holy Spirit, cared for others, made disciples, and lived on mission.

And this gives us hope for what lies ahead.

We don’t have all the answers yet — and we don’t need to. Right now, our invitation as a church family is simple:

🙏 Continue to worship together.
🙏 Pray and fast for God’s guidance and for unity.
📖 Read and meditate on Acts 11 and Acts 13.

Let’s seek God together and ask Him to show us what kind of church He is calling us to become.

Churches change. Seasons change. Names change. But God doesn’t change. He has been faithful. He is faithful. And He will be faithful.

Special Service Tomorrow!

Tomorrow will be an important Sunday for our local church family.

Together, we’ll look back with gratitude on what God has done in the past and hear an important update about our future. Pastor Buddy Owens, one of our elders, will be with us, and Pastor Tony will share a brief encouragement from God’s Word.

Most importantly, this will be a time to seek God together, listen to His voice, and trust Him for what lies ahead.
