Robin and the Goblins

Robin and the Goblins songs of melancholy & mischief
༼;´༎ຶ ۝ ༎ຶ༽ However, the vision wasn't always this clear.

Robin and the Goblins calls their music New Melodramatic Popular Song, but has also been described as Baroque Pop and even "Disney on acid". As if leading you through a dark fable, Robin blends pastoral strings and haunting 80s fantasy movie synthpop while singing about Catholic guilt, feeling like an outsider and the power of escapism. Robin needed a drunken fall down the stairs and 1.5 lost teet

h before they resolved to leave West Virginia for Berlin and start channeling their anxieties into music. Not playing any instruments, Robin took the DIY approach and started producing demos from their Berlin bedroom. Shortly after releasing their first single 'Choirboys' and being exposed to the German capital's queer scene, they changed their pronouns to they/them and chose the name Robin to reflect their non binary identity. They have since performed in Germany, Spain and the UK, often with a live band comprised by Lidia Luciano on keys and Eszter Kádar on drums.
