Heavenly Father, today we thank You for mothers, for their strength, tenderness, wisdom, and endless love. Thank You for the sacrifices they make, the prayers they whisper, and the comfort they bring into our lives each day.

Bless every mother today with peace, joy, and renewed strength. Remind them that their love matters deeply and that their work is seen and valued. Surround them with kindness and appreciation from those they care for.

For mothers who are weary, bring rest.
For mothers who are hurting, bring comfort.
For mothers who are celebrating, multiply their joy.
And for those who long to be mothers or who carry grief in their hearts today, hold them especially close in Your love.

May every mother feel honored, cherished, and encouraged today and always.

Today we remember and celebrate the birthday of St. Vincent de Paul, a man whose life continues to inspire our mission every single day.

His deep compassion for those in need and his unwavering commitment to serving the poor remind us why the Society of St. Vincent de Paul exists. He saw dignity where others saw hardship, and he chose action over indifference.

It’s also meaningful that today we remember Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, our founder, whose life was a testament to faith in action, compassion for the poor, and courage to live out the Gospel in everyday life. Today, we joyfully celebrate the birthday of Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, founder of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a man of deep faith, intellect, and charity who saw Christ in the poor and acted with courage and compassion.

His life reminds us that holiness is lived in the ordinary: in service, in justice, and in love for those most in need. May we continue his mission with the same humility and zeal.

Prayer for the Canonization of Blessed Frédéric Ozanam

With the hope of a miracle
Lord,
You made Blessed Frédéric Ozanam a witness of the Gospel, astounded at the
mystery of the Church.
You inspired his struggle against poverty and injustice, and gave him tireless
generosity in the service of all who suffer.
In his family, he was an exceptional son, brother, husband and father.
In the world, his burning passion for truth illuminated his thinking his teaching and
his writings.
Within our Society, which he founded as a universal network of charity, he instilled
the spirit of love, courage and humility, inherited from Saint Vincent de Paul.
His short life was marked throughout by his prophetic vision of society, together with
his many virtues.
For these many reasons, we thank you Lord, and if it is your will, grant the grace of a
miracle, through the intercession of Blessed Frédéric Ozanam.
May the Church proclaim his sanctity, so providential for the present times!
We ask you this through Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
