🌟 As part of the "Under One Roof" project co founded by AMS, we had an amazing presentation on Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk 🇨🇿 the first president of Czechoslovakia and his views on religion.

🎓 Presented by Prof. Dr. Jiří Vogel, who highlighted how Masaryk saw faith as linked to ethics, responsibility, and the foundation of a strong democracy.

💡 Truly inspiring thoughts on spirituality, humanism, and society today.

Volunteers of the Ahmadija Muslimský Spolek in Prague gathered to prepare food boxes and dates for those in need during the blessed month of Ramadan.

As seen in these moments of preparation, volunteers carefully pack the boxes, place labels, and arrange the dates so that families facing hardship may also experience the blessing of breaking their fast.
For Muslims, Ramadan is not only about abstaining from food and drink — it is a time to awaken compassion and to serve humanity. Acts like preparing food for others reflect the true spirit of Islam:
caring for those in need and sharing the blessings Allah has given us.

Allah the Almighty teaches in the Holy Qur’an:

“And they give food, for the love of Him, to the poor, the orphan, and the captive.”
(Qur’an 76:9)

The Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ also reminded the believers:

“He is not a true believer whose stomach is filled while his neighbor goes hungry.”
(Sunan al-Kubra, al-Bayhaqi)

Through such humble efforts, the community hopes not only to support those in difficulty but also to remind fellow Muslims of the beautiful teachings of Islam — that faith is lived through compassion, generosity, and service to humanity.

May Allah accept these efforts and allow us to continue serving His creation with sincerity. 🤲✨

Dobrovolníci z Ahmadija Muslimský Spolek v Praze se sešli, aby během požehnaného měsíce Ramadánu připravili potravinové balíčky a datle pro lidi v nouzi. Jak je vidět na těchto okamžicích příprav, dobrovolníci pečlivě balí krabice, lepí štítky a připravují datle, aby i rodiny, které čelí těžkostem, mohly pocítit požehnání při přerušení půstu.

Pro muslimy není Ramadán pouze o zdržení se jídla a pití — je to čas probuzení soucitu a služby lidstvu. Takové činy, jako je příprava jídla pro druhé, odrážejí pravého ducha islámu: starat se o potřebné a sdílet požehnání, která nám Alláh daroval.

Alláh Všemohoucí říká ve Svatém Koránu:

„A dávají jídlo z lásky k Němu chudému, sirotkovi a zajatci.“
(Korán 76:9)

Svatý prorok Muhammad ﷺ také připomněl věřícím:

„Není skutečně věřícím ten, jehož žaludek je sytý, zatímco jeho so**ed hladoví.“
(Sunan al-Kubrá, al-Bayhaqí)

Honored to be part of a powerful podium discussion dedicated to interfaith dialogue and mutual respect. 🤝🕊️

Representing Islam, our Chairman and Imam joined a panel of respected and inspiring personalities:

🔹 Pavel Hošek – Professor, religious scholar & theologian
🔹 Aleš Weiss – Teacher of Jewish and Buddhist teachings
🔹 Adam Borzič – Czech poet, translator, publicist & therapist
🔹 Jožka Miker – Representative of the Roma community
🔹 Kashif Janjua – Imam & Chairman of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat

Together, we addressed one of the most pressing issues of our time: racism in society. We explored its roots, discussed practical solutions, and shared insights from our respective faith traditions on how to foster understanding, compassion, and unity. 🌎

Hon. Grover Joseph Rees, (Former General Counsel of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization, Former United States Ambassador to East Timor) said:

"I have been at Ahmadi events, but never in Prague, never in the Czech Republic, but in the United States. And I know Ahmadis who are refugees in Thailand. I know Ahmadis who are in Indonesia, and so I've been to Ahmadis events in the past and I have respect and affection both for them as individuals and for the faith as I understand it and the program tonight was consistent with that. Peace is something we all strive for. And even within religions, even within my own Catholic religion, there are people who disagree about the best way to achieve peace. You know, there are some people who think you, you can't take up arms even in self-defence. And there are others who think that being prepared to defend yourself and to defend the innocent is the only way to have peace because there will be people otherwise who will take advantage. So it's terribly important, of course. You know when I was in the State Department, of course it was after September 11th and there lots of people talking about how we had to deal with. We had to find the moderate Muslims and get along with the moderate Muslims. I never agreed with that because I wouldn't want anybody to tell me I had to be a moderate within my own religion. I think that I wanted to be able to work with people who were 100 percent Muslim, 100 percent not tapering at all. But as you say, who didn't think that that required them to want to kill unbelievers. And so it's always been Inspirational and of some comfort and joy to me to meet Muslims like yourselves, but certainly that is the message, the messages that Islam is a religion of peace."
