The annual Lee Cemetery Assoc. Meeting will be take place TOMORROW, Sunday, Sept. 7, 2025 at 2:00pm. It will be held under the pavilion directly across the street from cemetery.

We have several items to discuss. We look forward to seeing you! Bring a chair, and a dessert to share (if desired).

Happy Memorial Day Weekend.
Special THANKS to all those who served in our armed forces.

Good News regarding the cleanup of Lee Cemetery after the tornado. The trees have been cut and removed and we are currently taking bids for fence repair.

It has been a costly year so far for Lee Cemetery. Insurance does not cover the cost of either tree removal or fence repair, so if you have family and/or loved ones in Lee Cemetery donations are appreciated. (See one of the photos below on how to donate.)

Many of you already know that an E-F1 tornado tore through Verona at approximately 9:02 am Tues. morning, Apr. 29, 2025. Lee Cemetery took a bit of a hit. Several large ancient oak trees are down and there is extensive damaged the fence on the front of the cemetery. The photos below were taken from inside the cemetery looking towards the fence.

Many of our volunteers also have damage to their homes, building and property. Please be patient as we discuss what steps need to be taken to restore the fence, walk-in gate and clean up the debris.

The good news is that all headstones escaped damage and the remaining hemlock tree originally transported via saddlebag on horseback is still standing.
