ԿՈՉ ԿԻՊՐԱՀԱՅՈՒԹԵԱՆ

Սիրելի՛ Կիպրահայ համայնքի անդամներ,
Համայնքի Երեսփոխանական Ժողովի անունով կը դիմենք ձեզի չափազանց կարեւոր հարցի մը առնչութեամբ։ Մեր սիրելի պատմական Սուրբ Մակար Վանքը, որ կը գտնուի կղզիի գրաւեալ մասին մէջ, այսօր կը գտնուի խիստ քայքայուած վիճակի մէջ եւ կը դիմագրաւէ ամբողջական փլուզման վտանգ։
Մասնագէտները յայտնած են, որ եթէ շատ շուտով հրատապ աշխատանքներ չիրականացուին՝ պատերն ու կամարները ամրացնելու համար, ապա արդէն շատ ուշ պիտի ըլլայ։
Երեսփոխանական Ժողովը կազմած է Սուրբ Մակար Վանքի Վերանորոգման Յանձնախումբը, որուն նպատակն է տեղեկացնել թէ՛ հայ, թէ՛ լայն հասարակութիւնը Սուրբ Մակար Վանքի ներկայ վիճակին մասին եւ հանգանակել միջոցներ՝ վանքի հրատապ վերականգնման աշխատանքներուն համար անհրաժեշտ նիւթական միջոցները ապահովելու նպատակով։
Յանձնախումբի անդամներն են՝
• Գերշ. Տ. Կոմիտաս Արք. Օհանեան, Կիպրոսի Հայոց Թեմի Կաթողիկոսական Փոխանորդ,
• Վարդգէս Մահտեսեան, Հայ Համայնքի Պետական Ներկայացուցիչ,
• Վահան Այնէճեան, Երեսփոխանական Ժողովի Ատենապետ,
• Բարսի Զարդարեան, Կիպրոսի Մշակութային Ժառանգութեան Երկհամայնքային Արհեստագիտական Յանձնախումբի անդամ,
• Յարօ Գույումճեան, Նիկոսիոյ Սուրբ Աստուածածին Եկեղեցւոյ Հոգաբարձութեան անդամ։
Յանձնախումբը կը համագործակցի Կիպրոսի բոլոր հայկական կազմակերպութիւններուն հետ եւ 2025-ի Հոկտեմբերէն ի վեր աշխուժօրէն կը կատարէ իր առաքելութիւնը։ Ան ստեղծած է կայքէջ մը (www.armenianmonasterycyprus.org), ներկայութիւն հաստատած է ընկերային ցանցերու վրայ եւ 2026 թուականի Մայիս 6-ին Իւթիւճեան Սրահին մէջ կազմակերպած է տեղեկատուական ձեռնարկ մը։
Յանձնախումբը դիմած է, կը դիմէ եւ պիտի շարունակէ դիմել Կիպրոսի եւ արտասահմանի կազմակերպութիւններու եւ անհատներու՝ հնարաւորին չափ մեծ գումարներ հանգանակելու համար, որպէս ներդրում Սուրբ Մակար Վանքի վերականգնման աշխատանքներուն, որոնք, ըստ Արհեստագիտական Յանձնախումբի նախնական ծրագիրներուն, ակնկալուած է որ սկսին 2027-ի սկիզբը։
Եւրոպական Միութենէն եւ այլ աղբիւրներէն արդէն ապահովուած է որոշ չափով ֆինանսաւորում։ Սակայն շատ կարեւոր է, որ մեր համայնքը, որուն կը պատկանի այս յուշարձանը, նոյնպէս իր նիւթական մասնակցութիւնը բերէ վերականգնման աշխատանքներուն։
Մինչեւ այսօր Յանձնախումբը յաջողած է հանգանակել համեստ գումար մը՝ Կիպրոսէն եւ Հայաստանէն ստացուած նուիրատուութիւններու միջոցով։ Սակայն այդ միջոցները բաւարար չեն, եւ շատ աւելի մեծ գումարներ անհրաժեշտ են, որպէսզի Արհեստագիտական Յանձնախումբը 2026-ի վերջաւորութեան կարենայ մրցոյթներ յայտարարել, իսկ աշխատանքները սկսին 2027-ի առաջին ամիսներուն։
Մենք կոչ կ՛ուղղենք մեր համայնքի բոլոր անդամներուն՝ թէ՛ Կիպրոսի մէջ եւ թէ՛ արտասահմանի, ինչպէս նաեւ ընկերութիւններուն եւ կազմակերպութիւններուն, մասնակցելու այս համահամայնքային հանգանակութեան՝ իրենց առատաձեռն նուիրատուութիւններով։
Յատկապէս կը դիմենք այն անդամներուն, որոնք Սուրբ Մակար Վանքին հետ կապուած թանկագին յիշատակներ ունին։ Շատեր այնտեղ մկրտուած կամ պսակուած են, իսկ ուրիշներ տարիներ շարունակ մասնակցած են դէպի վանք ուխտագնացութիւններու։
Այս մեր վերջին առիթն է Սուրբ Մակար Վանքը փրկելու մշտական կործանումէ։
Որպէս ներկայ սերունդ՝ մենք պատասխանատուութիւն կը կրենք ապագայ սերունդներուն հանդէպ։
Կը խնդրենք, որ չսպասէք մեր կոչին․ կատարեցէ՛ք ձեր նուիրատուութիւնը կամաւորաբար եւ առատաձեռնօրէն։

Սոյն Կոչէն ստացուած բոլոր նուիրատուութիւնները պիտի յատկացուին բացառապէս Սուրբ Մակար Վանքին եւ պիտի չօգտագործուին այլ՝ որեւէ նպատակի համար։

APPEAL TO CYPRIOT ARMENIANS
Dear members of the Armenian Cypriot community,
On behalf of the Diocesan Council of the community, we address you regarding a matter of great importance. Our much-loved historic Sourp Magar Monastery, located in the occupied part of the island, is in a state of severe deterioration and faces the risk of total collapse.
Experts have said that if urgent work is not done soon to secure the walls and arches, it will be too late.
The Diocesan Council has established a committee, the Sourp Magar Monastery Restoration Committee, whose purpose is to inform both the Armenian and wider public about the current condition of Sourp Magar Monastery and to raise funds, in order to secure the necessary financial resources for the urgent restoration works of the monastery.
The members of the Committee are: His Eminence Archbishop Komitas Ohanian, Catholicosal Vicar of the Armenian Diocese of Cyprus; Vartkes Mahdessian, Representative of the Armenian Community of Cyprus; Vahan Aynedjian, Chairman of the Diocesan Council; Parsy Zartarian, member of the bi-communal Technical Committee on Cultural Heritage of Cyprus; and Haro Kouyoumdjian, member of the Holy Mother of God Church Committee in Nicosia.
The Committee is cooperating with all Armenian organisations in Cyprus and is actively carrying out its work since October 2025. It has created a website (www.armenianmonasterycyprus.org), established a presence on social media, and organized an informational event at the Utidjian Hall on 6th May 2026. The Committee has approached, is approaching, and will continue to approach organizations and individuals in Cyprus and overseas in order to raise the largest possible amount of funds to contribute toward the restoration works of Sourp Magar Monastery, which, according to the preliminary plans of the Technical Committee, are expected to begin at the start of 2027.
A certain amount of funding has already been secured from the European Union and other funds. However, it is very important that our community to which the monument belongs must make a financial contribution toward the restoration works.
To date, the Committee has succeeded in raising a modest sum through donations received from Cyprus and Armenia. However, these funds are not sufficient, and much more is required, in order for the Technical Committee to proceed with tenders by end of 2026 for work to start in early 2027.
We appeal to all members of our community, whether in Cyprus or abroad, as well as to companies and organizations, to participate in this community fundraising effort through their generous donations.
We especially appeal to those members of our community who hold cherished memories of Sourp Magar Monastery. There are many who were baptized or married there and who, over the years, participated in pilgrimages to the monastery.
This is our last opportunity to save Sourp Magar Monastery from permanent destruction.
As the present generation, we bear a responsibility toward future generations.
