Prayer to the Sacred and Wounded Heart of Jesus
O Sacred and Wounded Heart of my Lord Jesus,
my most loving and compassionate Savior,
from the deepest part of my soul I yearn
that all of creation may forever adore, praise, and glorify You
for the holy wound that opened Your Most Sacred Side.
Into that divine wound — into the very depths of Your Heart —
I place my own heart, my thoughts, my emotions,
my desires, intentions, and the whole strength of my being.
Through the Precious Blood and Living Water
that poured from Your Merciful Heart,
I beseech You to take possession of me entirely,
to rule and guide my life in every moment and every act.
Inflame me, O Jesus, with the fire of Your purest love,
fill me, transform me, and draw me completely into Yourself,
until I am united with You in perfect love.
