【 The True Knowledge of Baptism】
In which name shall we be baptized?
We shall be baptized in the name of Jesus.
Jesus command His eleven apostles to baptize people into the name of Father，Son and Holy Spirit. Why apostler Peter，disciple Philip and apostle Paul baptize people in the name of Jesus. Are they breaking the command of Jesus or obeying the command of Jesus?
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,(Matthew28:19 NKJV)
Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts2:38 NKJV)
For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said, “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days. (Acts10:46-48 NIV)
For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. (Acts8:16 NKJV)
And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?” So they said, “Into John’s baptism.”Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.”When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. (Acts19:3-5 NKJV)
Explaination:
1.They obey the command of Jesus. In Isaiah said:a Son is give. His name will be called Everlasting Father. It means Son is Father who came to the world. The name of Son is the same as the name of Father.
For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.(Isaiah9:6 NKJV)
2 What is the name of Father? The name of Father is manifested by Son. It means before Jesus come to the world，the name of Father is hidden. When the Son came，he manifested the name of Father to people. People came to know Jesus is the true God. The name of Father is Jesus.
“I have manifested Your name to the men whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, You gave them to Me, and they have kept Your word.(John17:6 NKJV)
3 Son is Father who manifested in flesh. When Philip asked Jesus to show them the Father. Jesus said He who has seen Son has seen Father. Son is in Father and Father is in Son. Son is Father who came as flesh. Inside that flesh body is Holy Spirit. God is Holy Spirit who is the Father for all.
Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.”Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.(John14:8-10 NKJV)
4 How can we acknowledge the Father. Bible told us he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also. It means when we acknowledges the name of Son has the name of Father also. That is the name of Jesus. If we deny the name of Son，we do not have the Father either. If we do not mention the name of Jeus，we deny the name of Father.
Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.(1 John2:23 NKJV)
5 God is our father who dwell in unapproachable light and unseen. He must come to the world as the Son to manifest to us. Son is Father himself.
who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power. Amen.(1 Timothy6:16 NKJV)
No one has ascended to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son of Man who is in heaven.(John3:13 NKJV)
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, Justified in the Spirit, Seen by angels, Preached among the Gentiles, Believed on in the world, Received up in glory.(1 Timothy3:16 NKJV)
6 The name of Father is Jesus. The name of Son is Jesus. The name of Holy Spirit is Jesus. When Jesus command His apostles to baptize people into the name of Father，Son and Holy Spirit. On the day of Pentecost，disciples received the Holy Spirit. They came to understand the name of Father，Son and Holy Spirit is Jesus. So they started baptizing people in the name of Jesus. But before they received the Holy Spirit，Philip did not know Son is Father come as flesh. And he asked Jesus to show them the Father.
7 Why Son of God is without father since Son of God is Father himself.
without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.(Hebrews7:3 NKJV)
