1) Is being a peacemaker and being persecuted a related topic?

2) What does persecution look like; what are its various forms?

3) Why do you think the Apostle Paul said "Indeed, all who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted," II Timothy 3:12?

HWC has been going through the beatitudes and this next Sunday, the 23rd, we will be focusing on Mt. 5:9, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called the sons of God." In preparation for the sermon, here are some questions for contemplation:
1) A peacemaker is someone who tries to bring peace but what is peace?
2) If you had to draw, paint or just describe what peace feels like, what words or images would you use?
3) What can we learn about peace when Jesus said "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." Jn. 16:33 ?

It is the Labor Day and a long weekend! Are you excited about not working tomorrow? By tomorrow I mean today. What is you plan for the holiday? Do you travel anywhere or have fun with friends & family in the town? If you stay here, you can join us on Sunday, let's worship Him and celebrate together. Hope you have a great holiday spending time with Him, and let His love shine through our relationships with others, in a way that we become a light, a good Samaritan, and a good Christian boss or/and servant in their lives!

This week, the air in Nanjing has been better, the weather has been warmer, and the nights has been a bit chilly but nice. The transitioning of the seasons is just like the changes in our lives. Is your life going through transitioning? Is your life in the season of God's blessings, or is your life like a tough winter now? God meets us at where we are, sometimes it just requires us to not be afraid and let Him walk with us.
