On July 14, the Church celebrates the feast day of St. Kateri Tekakwitha, the first Native American to be canonized. Known as the "Lily of the Mohawks," Kateri lived a life of holiness and virtue, despite obstacles and opposition within her tribe. https://bit.ly/44n8y9j

As Christians we strive for holiness everyday of our lives. When we say "to strive for holiness" it is not about perfection from start to finish. Rather, it is how we struggle and with the help and the grace of God we overcome them. To be holy means no matter how much we are tempted by the devil, and by the world, we would always say YES to God and to His Most Holy Will. To be holy means that you and I strive to be a better version of ourselves one day at a time, amidst the challenges and difficulties. To be holy means that you allow God to lead you amidst your daily battles.

Again holiness is not about perfection, but it is how we struggle, and with God's help, we won.
