今天是观音菩萨出家日

Today is Guan Yin Bodhisattva's Leaving Home Day

农历九月十九，恭迎观世音菩萨出家日。观世音菩萨是大乘佛教中为人熟知的菩萨。观照世间，循声救苦，故名观世音菩萨；常行般若，自在无碍，又名观自在菩萨。
The nineteenth day of the ninth lunar month is the occasion for us to celebrate Guan Yin Bodhisattva's Leaving Home Day. Guan Yin Bodhisattva is a well-known bodhisattva in Mahayana Buddhism. He is called the Bodhisattva Who Observes the Sounds of the World because he looks down upon the cries of sentient beings who need help; he is called the Bodhisattva Who Contemplates at Ease because he constantly practices prajñā and stays completely at ease without obstructions.
在这个殊胜的日子，虔诚礼敬观世音菩萨，以般若智慧观照自性，发慈悲之心救济众生，与观世音菩萨之心相应，实践观世音菩萨之真意。
On this special day, we devoutly pay respect to Guan Yin Bodhisattva. We contemplate our self-nature with prajñā wisdom and develop great compassion to save all sentient beings, to resonate with the mind of Guan Yin Bodhisattva, and to fulfill his true aspiration.
