It’s ridiculous how “pre-trib” folk devalue Matthew 5:14 by presenting God’s Light (or people) as an inferior, weak, fear stricken counterpart looking for an escape in the face of the world’s greatest hour of need of them.

it’s pathetic that “The Light” of the world is only thinking about escaping the greatest moment of Darkness that will ever hit the world it was meant to enlighten.

However, in THE SCRIPTURE OF TRUTH and in the truth of the Gospel, the greatest harvest of souls will be recorded in the tribulation most simple minded Christians hope to escape.

Ever read Revelation 7:9-14? Read it! It’s just five verses! And if you will, consider Matthew 13:33-44 with an open mind and heart 💜

WHAT IS THE RAPTURE TO YOU?

IN shadows, types and figures of things to come, Noah knew when the world will end, warned others and prepared for it by building the Ark according to God’s instructions and guidance.

The sons of the prophet knew when Elijah would be “raptured” or taken to heaven and kept telling Elisha and he kept replying, “I know, hold your peace”.

Abraham and Lot knew that God was about to destroy S***m and Gomorrah.

Again, God talks about the end of the world in Malachi 4:1-3 and promised to send Elijah in verse 5 before that. Naturally, Elijah will know the duration of his assignment and what follows.

But more importantly, look at what apostle Paul says here:

“But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief”. 1 Thessalonians 5:4

AND here:

“Wherefore comfort one another with these words”.
1 Thessalonians 4:18

For those who have UNDERSTANDING (The True Light), the coming of the Lord as a “thief in the night”, wrongly interpreted to mean “surprise, sudden arrival or appearance” of the Lord does not apply.

Finally, there is a solid reason why talk of the “coming of the Lord” and/or the end of the world is terrifying to many instead of providing the COMFORT scripture prescribed.
