Romans 10:13-15

KEY THOUGHTS ON EVANGELISM
- Evangelism is a command and not an option
- It is a core responsibility to every believer, not a specific calling (Mathew 28:19-20) in other words everyone is sent.
- It is obedience to Jesus Christ.
- It is love expressed. When you truly love and care about people, you will share the gospel with them. (2 Corinthians 5:14)

WHAT IS EVANGELISM?
- The act of sharing the good news with the aim of inviting people to the faith.
- The good news involves talking about; the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF EVANGELISM?
- For salvation of souls. Note: The word salvation in Greek is soteria and it is a fourfold word which means to be saved/ delivered from the power, penalty, presence, and desire of sin.
- For the establishment of the saved. John 15:16.
When you don’t make attempts to establish souls, two things happen.
(a) They will return back to the world and be inoculated against the gospel.
(b) The devil might sense that they will be stable in their decision to follow Christ so do everything to cut them.
Note: God wants us to bear fruits that endure.

KINDS OF EVANGELISM
- Preaching evangelism (Mark 16:15): It includes revealing the love and mercies of God to mankind. It's not condemnation and accusation.
- Character Evangelism (Matthew 5:13-16):
Your actions are more evangelistic than your confession. Preaching is easy when you have a matching character.
Saint Augustin once said " Preach the gospel always and where necessary use words". Your life ought to be a living bible (Matthew 23:3).
- Presence evangelism (1 kings 4:8-9): It is a presence that carries the convicting power of God. (1 Corinthians 4:20)
- Charity evangelism (John 3:16), Acts 9:39: This is preaching through your good works. It involves meeting the needs of your neighbors and those in need.
- Power evangelism (Mark 16:18-19, Acts 28:7-9): This is preach through miracles. Signs and wonders have a voice, and miracles speak.
- Testimony Evangelism (Acts 9:33-35, John 4:39)

TOPIC: EXISTING AS THE HEAVEN’s REPRESENTATIVE

2 Corinthians 5:20

- ⁠We are Christ’s representatives on earth
- ⁠You can’t truly represent Heaven if you can’t hear what God is saying
- ⁠Living upright isn’t the only thing expected of us as believers. God wants us to function as ambassadors
- ⁠Being rich, married, or having children, doesn’t means you are successful.
- ⁠To succeed, means to be obedient to God. Success is measured by our ability to fulfill God’s plan for our lives

TO BE AN AMBASSADOR OF GOD MEANS
- To speak not for yourself but on the behalf of God. John 17:16
- ⁠To act not on your authority and power but act under God’s authority and power. 1 kings 4:20

- As a Christian, you shouldn’t be in a land and people are looking for God.

HEARING THE INNER VOICE OF GOD
1 JOHN 5:10

The inner voice is that voice within you that confirms what is of the Lord.

IMPORTANCE OF THE INNER VOICE
1. It brings confirmation to everything that God is saying. It is a deep knowing that goes beyond doubt and feelings.
2. It assures you of your relationship with God.
3. It helps you discern the truth from lies.
Matthew 16:18-20

HOW DO I IDENTIFY THE VOICE OF GOD FROM THAT OF THE ENEMY
-The voice of God convicts and does not condemn. John 16:8
-It shows you a way out and gives you the possibility to be restored.
-Whenever the spirit of God convicts you, it draws you back to God.

1. The devil accuses.
-He pushes you away from God.
-He speaks with a lot of pressure
-He brings confusion

Note: The voice of God comes with peace

SEE WHAT GOD IS SAYING
Habakkuk 2:1

1) Take what God reveals to you seriously. Don’t stop at “seeing."
• Revelation must be interpreted, and beyond interpretation, it must be applied because God's word is designed to produce results, not just information.

2) Don't just see, make sure you see well.
Daniel 1:19
• God can speak, but the outcome depends on the way you understand what you've seen.
• Good seeing leads to good standing. When your spiritual eyes are aligned, your response becomes accurate.

3) God always speaks. Sometimes we just don’t hear
• God is not silent; he speaks through dreams and visions
• We may say, "He hasn't spoken," while heaven has already been sending clarity.

4) If you see well, you will fight the right battles.
Jeremiah 1:11-15 , Job 33:13-15
• Not every battle you face is the one God sent you to fight.
• Seeing well gives discernment. When spiritual sight is clear, you stop wasting energy on what is not yours, and you engage what God has assigned.

JESUS IS RISEN (Revelation 1:18)

Jesus is risen—He is alive forevermore. As He declares, “I am He that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore.” This means we serve a living God, not a dead one.

In Matthew 22:32, He is called the God of the living, not of the dead—showing that His power brings life and hope. Because He lives, there is hope for all in the land of the living.

Through His resurrection (Romans 8:11; Matthew 28:1–6), we are assured of new life, victory over death, and a living hope that never fades.

REASONS WHY A SPIRITUAL ATMOSPHERE IS IMPORTANT FOR A BELIEVER

An atmosphere is a spiritual climate around a believer. It also refers to the people surrounding or present in the life of a believer. An atmosphere can affect your faith, thoughts, behavior and destiny. Without a great atmosphere a believer cannot grow steadily.

1. For spiritual nourishment. It helps in your word study life, your worship, your prayers and fasting. Acts 2:42, 2 chronicles 15:3-4, Jeremiah 3:15.

2. For shield against corruption, ungodly influence and sin. 1 Cor. 15:33, Prov. 22:24-25. Some people are doing well not because they're "good" but because of the environment they find themselves in. Otherwise, they could possibly be the worst kind of people.

3. For spiritual fruitfulness. John 15:4&8
It comes when you win souls and when you love deeply like the father.
John 15:6

4. For Flourishing. (Psalms 92:12-14).
Here, your love, service, impact, wisdom and character speaks volumes Matthew 5:16.

5. For a spiritual temperature. Acts 1:4, Lev 6:12
Note: When you surround yourself with men of prayer, you become prayerful.
When ever you feel down, you assemble other believers to join you in prayers.

6. It keeps you safe from demonic attacks (Mattew 12:43:44, acts 28:12) certain atmospheres checks demons out naturally

7. It helps us experience certain dimensions of God's presence (Matthew 18:20). Our spiritual atmosphere helps us access the active manifest presence of God.

- Your faith starts dying and your strength starts failing when you stop attending church services.
Acts 2:42
- When you listen to many messages, you miss what God is telling you
- ⁠God knows what the church needs, so he sends revelational words to the church based on what the people need
- ⁠If God wants to deliver you, what he does is, he sends a word. There’s a word for every season. God sends his word for deliverance and healing. Psalms 107:20
- ⁠When you come to church, pay attention what God is telling you, and not what you want to hear. 2 Timothy 4:3
- ⁠Isaiah 30:10
- ⁠Micah 2:11
- When you choose your pastor, you’ll listen to what you want to listen to. Let God lead you. Jer 3:15-16
- Lack of a teaching priest will lead the people astray. 2 chronicles 15:3
- ⁠Don’t forsake the assembly of God’s people. Hebrew 10:25
- Your next level is in your obedience

IMPORTANCE OF PRAYING TOGETHER
1. It invites a special manifestation of God's presence. Matthew 18:20
2. It creates unity that releases power. Acts 1:14

UNITY + PRAYER = DIVINE OUTPOURING

3. It attracts the move of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:1
4. It produces unusual miracles and testimonies
5. It strengthens believers spiritually; Building Faith, consistency and prevents Spiritual weakness
6. It draws God's attention in a unique way, creating spiritual authority and divine responses
7. It was the lifestyle of the early church
