PC BERTOUA : The Presbyterian Church in Cameroon Bertoua Congregation, East Mungo Region (EMR) was alive again today Sunday 18th May, 2026, with joy, color, and the Spirit of God as they hosted the National Secretary for Youth Work of the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, Rev. Wa Ekosano Joshua Modika for a solemn occasion of the official inauguration of five (5) new Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) groups; CYF Ekounou -Bertoua, CYF Abong Mbang, CYF Bertoua, CYF Garoua Boulai and CYF Batouri.
This was a milestone for the congregation and a bold step in raising a generation committed to Christ, service, and community.
Highlights of Today’s Celebration:
* The Christian Youth Fellowship (CYF) led a vibrant procession into the church house, that set the atmosphere of worship and celebration with songs, flags, and joyful praise. The energy was contagious!
* They formally presented the Presbytery and Zonal Executives, (Bro Atem Kelvin Enow - Presbytery President, Bro Nyongsoh Laudrick - Vice Zonal Coordinator, Sis Longchi Evita - Zonal Songs, among others, who have labored tirelessly to make this day a great success to the Glory of GOD. Their dedication to youth ministry in EMR is inspiring.
* With prayers and scripture, the National Secretary for Youth Work; Rev. Wa Ekosano Joshua Modika, together with Rev. Mrs. Tankwa Priscilla - the Parish Pastor of PC Bertoua, Rev. Funhwi Emmanuel and Rev. Tamfu Edison, officially inaugurated the five (5) new groups. These groups are a new force for outreach, discipleship, and fellowship among our youths in Bertoua.
* New members were admitted into the Movement and dedicated to the Lord. They committed themselves to live as witnesses of Christ within their groups and beyond.
* The Zonal flag was presented as a symbol of unity, identity, and mission. May it always remind us that we match together under the banner of Christ.
* Offerings were brought forward and dedicated to God, a tangible expression of gratitude and commitment to advancing Youth Work in the Church.
* The Service came to a close as the National Secretary for Youth Work gave the benediction, sending every member out renewed, blessed, and ready to serve.
