INTRODUCTION: THE PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
A common error among believers is the neglect, trivialization, or misuse of speaking in tongues. In some cases, it is treated as a performance rather than a spiritual reality.
This leads to missing the deeper dimensions of the Holy Spirit—His presence, His ministry, and His transformative work.
The Holy Spirit is not a force, object, or substance. He is a Person—the Third Person of the Godhead.
When He comes into the life of a believer, He comes to:
• Equip the believer for service
• Empower spiritual life and witness
• Establish continuous fellowship and companionship

WHAT IS SPEAKING IN TONGUES?
Speaking in tongues is a supernatural enablement by the Holy Spirit, allowing a believer to speak in languages not learned by natural means.
At Pentecost (Acts 2:1–4), believers spoke in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. At the same time, the manifestation of interpretation of tongues was also evident, highlighting order and purpose in spiritual communication.

MYSTERIES OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES
Isaiah 28:9–11 provides prophetic insight into this spiritual operation.
1. It transcends human grammar and structure.
Tongues do not follow natural linguistic rules but are governed by the Spirit.
2. It reflects divine pattern beyond human understanding.
Isaiah’s reference to “stammering lips and another tongue” points to a spiritual language introduced by God, distinct from human speech systems.
3. It operates beyond natural limitations of time and effort
Spiritual effectiveness in tongues is not measured by duration alone but by spiritual intensity and alignment with the Spirit.

IMPORTANCE OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES
1. Direct communication with God
It bypasses human reasoning and enables Spirit-to-Spirit communication (1 Corinthians 14:2).
2. Personal spiritual edification
It builds and strengthens the inner man, refreshing spiritual vitality (1 Corinthians 14:4).
3. A spiritual language unknown to the enemy
It serves as a divine communication channel not accessible to satanic interpretation or interference.

HOW TO RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT
Receiving the Holy Spirit is fundamentally an act of faith:
• Ask in faith
• Believe in faith
• Receive in faith
• Speak in faith

CONCLUSION: THE NEED OF OUR GENERATION
The Holy Spirit is essential for believers today in order to:
• Distinguish themselves in a complex generation
• Function effectively in ministry and service
• Engage in global mission and kingdom advancement
A fresh emphasis on the Holy Spirit and the reality of speaking in tongues is not optional—it is a necessity for spiritual effectiveness in our time.

INTRODUCTION : LA PERSONNE DU SAINT-ESPRIT
Une erreur fréquente chez les croyants est de négliger, banaliser ou mal utiliser le parler en langues. Dans certains cas, il est réduit à une performance plutôt qu’à une réalité spirituelle.
Cela conduit à manquer les dimensions profondes du Saint-Esprit—Sa présence, Son ministère et Son œuvre transformatrice.
Le Saint-Esprit n’est pas une force, un objet ou une substance. Il est une Personne—la Troisième Personne de la Trinité.
Lorsqu’Il entre dans la vie d’un croyant, Il vient pour :
• Équiper le croyant pour le service
• Donner la puissance pour la vie spirituelle et le témoignage
• Établir une communion et une relation continue

QU’EST-CE QUE LE PARLER EN LANGUES ?
Le parler en langues est une capacité surnaturelle donnée par le Saint-Esprit, permettant au croyant de s’exprimer dans des langues non apprises par des moyens naturels.
À la Pentecôte (Actes 2:1–4), les croyants ont parlé en d’autres langues selon que l’Esprit leur donnait de s’exprimer. En même temps, le don d’interprétation des langues s’est manifesté, soulignant l’ordre et le but dans la communication spirituelle.

LES MYSTÈRES DU PARLER EN LANGUES
Ésaïe 28:9–11 apporte une lumière prophétique sur cette opération spirituelle.
1. Il transcende la grammaire et la structure humaines
Le parler en langues ne suit pas les règles linguistiques naturelles mais est gouverné par l’Esprit.
2. Il reflète un modèle divin au-delà de la compréhension humaine
La référence d’Ésaïe aux « lèvres balbutiantes et une autre langue » pointe vers un langage spirituel introduit par Dieu, distinct des systèmes de langage humain.
3. Il dépasse les limitations naturelles de temps et d’effort
L’efficacité spirituelle du parler en langues ne se mesure pas uniquement à la durée, mais à l’intensité spirituelle et à l’alignement avec l’Esprit.

IMPORTANCE DU PARLER EN LANGUES
1. Communication directe avec Dieu
Il contourne le raisonnement humain et permet une communication d’esprit à Esprit (1 Corinthiens 14:2).
2. Édification spirituelle personnelle
Il construit et fortifie l’homme intérieur, renouvelant la vitalité spirituelle (1 Corinthiens 14:4).
3. Un langage spirituel inconnu de l’ennemi
Il constitue un canal divin de communication inaccessible à l’interprétation ou à l’ingérence satanique.

COMMENT RECEVOIR LE SAINT-ESPRIT
Recevoir le Saint-Esprit est fondamentalement un acte de foi :
• Demander avec foi
• Croire avec foi
• Recevoir avec foi
• Parler avec foi

CONCLUSION : LE BESOIN DE NOTRE GÉNÉRATION
Le Saint-Esprit est essentiel pour les croyants aujourd’hui afin de :
• Se distinguer dans une génération complexe
• Servir efficacement dans le ministère
• S’engager dans la mission mondiale et l’avancement du Royaume
Un nouvel accent sur le Saint-Esprit et la réalité du parler en langues n’est pas optionnel—c’est une nécessité pour l’efficacité spirituelle en notre temps.
