Pastor Emmanuel, son of Apostle Ernest Ndifon, ministered on the message titled "Repentance." Quoting Matthew 4:17, he explained that repentance is the key to manifesting the glory of God. When we talk about repentance, we mean a complete turnaround.
It is not a word for people who do not know Christ or for those in the world who have not heard of Jesus. Rather, repentance concerns those who have given their lives to Christ, acknowledge Him, and recognize that they have sinned. Such people can repent, and that is why you must repent. Repentance is a word for me and you in Christ. Luke 1:15-17 shows that repentance is for those who have given their lives to Christ and acknowledge Him as Savior. Repentance means turning away from your sins and accepting the Lord as your personal Lord and Savior.
Stages of Repentance (1 Peter 4:17). There are two stages of repentance: Leaving darkness for the light, and Obeying the will of God. The Bible says that when you give your life to Christ, the new comes and the old passes away. The first stage is leaving darkness for the light by accepting God as your personal Lord and Savior. The second stage is doing His will in order to have eternal life. Repentance is not for the people of the world, but for those who know the truth and have accepted Him as their Savior. Accepting Christ and repenting is not enough; it must be followed by doing His will. The first stage is confessing Him as personal Lord and Savior; this is because repentance is a continuous process. If you come closer to Him, you will know Him more, and you will see more of your errors. Your mouth will be filled with prayers of repentance, that is, the prayer of mercy.
