⛪ Canonical Visitation of Rev. Fr. Élisée Abe E., CMF: A Moment of Communion and Encouragement 🤝
✨ The canonical visitation of Rev. Fr. Élisée Abe E., CMF, Major Superior of the Independent Delegation of Cameroon, held from February 25–26 at the Saint Joseph Vaz Independent Delegation, was a profound moment of grace for students Boris Suinyuy, CMF, and Théophile Onana, CMF, who are currently undergoing their initial theological formation, as well as for the entire Claret Nivas community. 🕊️
At the heart of this visitation was the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, which served as a source of light for the community’s formative journey, particularly within the context of the Lenten season. This liturgical encounter deepened spiritual reflection while strengthening communal bonds, reminding all of the call to renewal and conversion proper to this sacred time.
Furthermore, the sharing of both contextual and formative experiences marked a significant highlight of the visitation. The bilateral collaboration between the two Delegations was emphasized, while dialogue with the Major Superior and the formators provided clarity and encouragement. The much-anticipated meeting with the students created a space for openness, trust, and mutual growth. The students readily acknowledged the positive impact of the Major Superior’s presence and accompaniment.
These exchanges enriched the formation process by offering fresh perspectives on the shared mission and the challenges of religious life across diverse cultural contexts.
The entire Claret Nivas community expressed great joy at the presence of the Major Superior. His attentive listening and words of encouragement left a lasting impression, underscoring the importance of accompaniment in the journey of formation. The spirit of mutual attentiveness and support fostered unity and renewed hope within the community.
Moreover, the concurrent meeting of Major Superiors at the Saint Joseph Vaz Independent Delegation provided a rare and providential opportunity for the students to engage with leaders from across Africa, including the President of ACLA. These encounters proved deeply inspiring and strengthened the students’ commitment to their formative and missionary path.
Thus, this canonical visitation went beyond its administrative purpose to become a true celebration of communion, dialogue, and shared mission. It strengthened the students of the Independent Delegation of Cameroon, reinforced bonds of fraternity among the Delegations, and renewed the collective commitment to walk together in faith, formation, and service.
