Advancing Alternative Education for Children 🌟📚✨

Caritas - Diocese of Kumba in a week workshop, joined other stakeholders at a Capitalisation Workshop for the Alternative Education Component of the Education Cannot Wait MYRP organised by Unesco Yaounde 🌍🤝

The workshop was an important space to:
✅ Capture lessons learned from the field 📝
✅ Share best practices in delivering education in crisis-affected communities 💡
✅ Strengthen strategies to make alternative education more inclusive, resilient, and impactful 🌱👩‍🏫
✅ Putting in a place a sustainability plan for continuity

At Caritas - Diocese of Kumba, we believe that education goes beyond the classroom, it is a lifeline of hope, resilience, and opportunity. Every child, no matter their circumstance, deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.

Empowering Adolescents, Strengthening Families! 💪🏾🌍

Caritas - Diocese of Kumba proudly wrapped up another impactful activity under our partnership with UNICEF, focused on Positive Parenting and Adolescent Club Management. 🙌🏾💙

👧🏾🧒🏾 Our amazing adolescent participants were trained to:

👥 Facilitate peer support within their clubs
🧠 Recognize signs of distress among their peers
🛠️ Learn how to manage their adolescent clubs effectively

That’s not all, we also engaged parents and caregivers in conversations around Positive Parenting, helping them understand how to better support their children emotionally, mentally, and socially. 🏡❤️

🌱 By equipping our youths with life skills and supporting parents to be more emotionally present, we are planting the seeds of resilience in our communities.

Together, we build a future where every child feels safe, heard, and supported. 💚👂🏾🧡
