RECEIVE YOUR SIGHT.
"I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened ..." Eph.1.18
His name was BARTIMAEUS, and NOT "Blind Bartimaeus" (Mark 10:46). He sat there all the years begging not because his profession was Begging, but because his blind condition put him there.
Blindness is a horrible kind of sickness; it deprives one from the beauty round about you.
And there are many forms of blindness, the worst of which is SPIRITUAL Blindness.
The Apostle Paul prayed that the eyes of our understanding might be opened, much the same like any other structure in our system; our hearts, eyes, mouth, hands, feet, etc. Sight gives direction, and without direction we wander about aimlessly, reason why many go through life without discovering or fulfilling their purpose.
Paul received an uncommon Commission:
Acts 26:18 "To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me."
Can you now comprehend why Paul writes further in 2 Corinthians 4:4 "In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them."?
Jesus wants you to receive your sight so you may have direction in the Journey of Life, and come to your full potential in this world.
Whatever has blinded you hitherto, receive your sight in Jesus name.
Like Paul, let every scale that has blinded you fall off in Jesus name.
