HIM is made up of four different Divisions. The Non Governmental Organization (HIM-NGO), a Cooperative (HIM-COOP), a Savings and Loans Cooperative Bank (HIM-SL), and a Service Common Initiative Group (HIM-SCIG). The focus of HIM is to help Christians and Churches to become the Light of our community so that men would see our good work and glorify our Father who is in Heaven. The churches especiall
y in Africa has done a lot to empower Christian spiritually but very little has been done to empower them Economically and Socially. So the Mission of HIM is to work with the Church and other organization to empower the Christians spiritually, economically and socially. Our goal is to make the church to be relevant. We also see that Holistic Mission is the answer to taking the gospel into the hinterlands. If Church planting is done with a Holistic approach we won't be any problem planting self sustaining churches in the hinterlands. Because of the need for resource many people see the big cities and coastal regions that are highly populated as a fertile ground for ministry. Especially when making money is their focus. Bringing closure to the Great Commission should be our focus and that will mean taking the gospel where Christ has not been named. Matt. 24:14, Rom 15:20-21.
