🌤️ ASCENSION DAY 🌤️
“While they beheld, He was taken up; and a cloud received Him out of their sight.” — Acts 1:9
Today we celebrate the glorious ascension of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. After His resurrection, Jesus ascended into heaven in power and victory, seated at the right hand of the Father.
Ascension Day reminds us that: ✨ Jesus conquered sin and death ✨ Christ reigns forever as King ✨ Our hope is not earthly but heavenly ✨ The Holy Spirit was promised to empower believers
The ascension was not the end of Christ’s work — it was the beginning of the Church’s mission.
As believers, let us live with our eyes fixed on heaven, walking in power, holiness, and expectation of His return.
🙌 “This same Jesus… shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” — Acts 1:11
Happy Ascension Day!

🎤 Topic: *THE* *HEART OF SALVATION*

📖 Main Text: Romans 10:9–10
“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”

🔹 1. INTRODUCTION: WHAT IS THE HEART OF SALVATION?
Salvation is not just about:
Going to church
Saying religious words
Looking like a Christian
👉 Salvation is about a changed heart.
God is not after your appearance—He is after your heart.
đź“– Key Scripture:
1 Samuel 16:7 – “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
🔹 2. THE PROBLEM: THE NATURAL HEART IS CORRUPT
Before salvation, the human heart is:
Sinful
Deceived
Far from God
đź“– Scriptures:
Jeremiah 17:9 – “The heart is deceitful above all things…”
Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
👉 The problem is not just sin—it is a sinful heart.
🔥 Illustration:
A tree does not produce bad fruit by accident—it produces it because the root is bad.
👉 If the heart is wrong, the life will be wrong.
🔹 3. GOD’ SOLUTION: A NEW HEART
God does not try to repair the old heart—He gives a new one.
đź“– Scripture:
Ezekiel 36:26 – “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you.”
👉 Salvation is not behavior change, it is heart transformation.
🔹 4. THE PROCESS: BELIEVE WITH THE HEART
đź“– Main Scripture:
Romans 10:10 – “For with the heart one believes unto righteousness…”
👉 True salvation starts in the heart, not just the mouth.
đź’ˇ Important Truth:
Many confess with their mouth
But few truly believe in their heart
🔥 Illustration:
A man can say “I trust God,” but still live in fear.
👉 Your actions reveal what your heart truly believes.
🔹 5. THE EVIDENCE: A TRANSFORMED LIFE
When the heart is saved, the life changes.
đź“– Scriptures:
2 Corinthians 5:17 – “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…”
Matthew 7:16 – “By their fruits you will know them.”
👉 Salvation produces:
New desires
New attitudes
New direction
🌿 Signs of a saved heart:
Love for God
Hunger for His Word
Desire to live right
Conviction when you sin
🔹 6. THE DANGER: HARDENED HEARTS
Not everyone responds to salvation.
đź“– Scriptures:
Hebrews 3:15 – “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”
👉 The more you ignore God, the harder your heart becomes.
🔥 Illustration:
A sponge and a stone both receive water.
The sponge absorbs it
The stone rejects it
👉 What kind of heart do you have?
🔹 7. THE INVITATION: OPEN YOUR HEART
God is calling—not to your head—but to your heart.
đź“– Scripture:
Revelation 3:20 – “Behold, I stand at the door and knock…”
👉 Jesus doesn’t force His way in—you must open your heart.
🔥 8. CONCLUSION
The heart of salvation is simple:
A sinful heart needs saving
God offers a new heart
You must believe from the heart
A changed heart produces a changed life

PRAYER
“Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I believe in my heart that You died and rose again for me. Give me a new heart. Wash me, change me, and make me Yours. I surrender my life to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
đź’Ą FINAL DECLARATION
👉 God is not looking for perfect people
👉 He is looking for surrendered hearts

Surrender your heart to God.
