Topic: LIVING AS GOD'S LIGHT
Text: Matthew 5 vs 14 - 16
Def: Light is anything that sends away darkness
To live as God's light, we have to overshadow darkness
Are we the light when we battle with weights like unforgiveness, anger, bitterness, greed, envy etc??
SOME ATTRIBUTES OF LIGHT
* Light defeats darkness; darkness turns to overshadow us when we don't know our identity in Christ (2 Cor 5 vs 17)
* Light cannot be hidden; are we visible as light??
* Light points away from itself; your light is not meant for yourself but through you others should see Jesus ( Mat 5 vs 16)
* Light has a source and as God's light your source is Jesus
HOW TO LIVE AS GOD'S LIGHT
* Be connected to the source ( John 8 vs 12, 15 vs 4). For you to be connected to that source Jesus;
Be genuinely born again
Be totally dependent on God (Isaiah 30 vs 1-, Mat 26 vs 39)
* Spend time in the secret place in prayers and study of the word ( Psalm 91 vs 1, Exodus 34 vs 28, 29, Luke 5 vs 16, Matthew 4 vs 17)
* Come out of your hiding; as light, we ought to be outstanding
* Reflect Christ in your character and personal testimony ( Isaiah 53 vs 5)

OH LORD HELP ME TO LIVE AS GOD'S LIGHT 🙏
