Rev. Alain Houag sends greetings to Pentecost Chapel family.

"We are serving a great and mighty God. Trust Him without limits, serve Him without restrain, love His people with a single heart and worship Him with your whole heart. And remember: the excess of prayer is not dangerous for health. Instead! It is healthy for your souls."

Title: The Lord Is my Banner (Updated and Completed)

Introduction
The Israelites left Egypt and had to face their very first battle at Rephidim. The Amalekites left their territory, 250 km North, to stop them from reaching the promised Land. But the battle was the Lord's, and the Israelites overcame. Indeed, there are many battles that we will face as children of God, but the Lord is with us! He is our Banner, our Defender, our Advocate, our Shield, our Great Reward...Nothing can stop us from getting into the Promised Land, and living the prophecy! No Amalekite, be it a system, an individual, a wizard, in Jesus' Name. However, victory in this battle depended on five factors, on five secrets:

1. The Sword vs.13
Joshua needed to be on the filed, to practice the art of warfare, though he had never fought before! In this context, the sword talks about hardwork, field experience, determination, ability to learn. Proverbs 6:6-11 and 1 Samuel 16:16-17; David was too "too qualified to be stranded." Sharpen your sword, get down on the filed, learn what you need to learn, sweat and battle, Canaan is not for lazy fellows! Prophecy and prayer will never replace steady effort and wise investment!

2. The Summit vs.9
It took Moses to climb the top of the hill to secure the victory! The summit speaks about a closer, deeper and stronger relationship with the Lord!
the investment in the Spirit realm! 1 Thessalonians 5:17. “No man is greater than his prayer life” – Mike Murdock. Sustained, consistent and persistent devotions are the fuel that gives energy to our daily investment! Too busy to pray, too busy to succeed! - 1 Peter 5:8; you need to get close to God in order to get your destiny sealed in the blood of Jesus!

3. The Staff vs.9
Moses did not go up alone, he went with the staff. The Staff speaks of authority, the call of God, the election, but also, the authority that comes from the Word of God; The investment with and in the Word of God! “Our particularity, our authority, our superiority, our invincibility come from the Eternal Word .” As long as you stand on the Word, you live by the Word, you fight by the Word, you are safe! Nobody will ever cross to the Promised Land without the Staff

4. The Support vs.9, 12
Moes asked Joshua to "select" some men. He himself wnet up with aaron and Ur. The Support speaks of the right association, the right connections, the right relation! The investment with the right people! Judges 7:4; 2 Timothy 2:22. “When you are crossing through the Wilderness, you better be careful who you are walking along with.” You cannot joke who you pray with, who you fast with, who you read with, whom you will marry! Nobody will ever cross to the Promised Land without the right support! You cannot make it alone! Choose the right support, that will be ready to go with you on the summit, that will help you lift the Staff!

5. The Scroll vs.14
The Lord requested Moses to write down on a scroll. The Scroll speaks about celebrating the greatness and the testimony of the Lord. The celebration of the victory with the Lord! Remember the goodness of God, celebrate the promises of God, for what He has said He will do. He is faithful! Remember, God is faithful! Remind Him of His promises, be thankful!

In Christ Jesus, we are more than conquerors! The Lord is our Banner! In this season, live by the five "S", and you are unstoppable, bound to Succeed!

God bless you.
