MY DAILY EXPERIENCE OF CHRIST DEVOTIONAL
*17th February*
TEXT: *Romans 12:12* (NIV)
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
TITLE: *Patience in Difficult Seasons*
*Introduction:*
Difficult seasons are part of every believer’s journey. There are moments when prayers seem unanswered, burdens feel heavy, and progress appears slow. Yet God calls us not just to endure hardship, but to endure it with patience, hope, and prayerful faith. Romans 12:12 gives us a simple but powerful strategy for navigating life’s toughest moments.
*What Does the Text Mean?*
Paul outlines three attitudes every Christian must maintain:
*Be joyful in hope* Our joy is rooted not in circumstances, but in the confident expectation that God is working for our good (Romans 8:28).
*Patient in affliction* Patience means steadfast endurance. It is the ability to remain steady under pressure, trusting that trials are temporary and purposeful.
*Faithful in prayer* Instead of giving up, we stay connected to God. Prayer sustains us when strength runs low.
This verse teaches that while affliction may be unavoidable, despair is optional when hope and prayer are present.
*Reflection:*
🙏What difficult season are you currently facing? A financial strain? A health challenge? A strained relationship? A delayed promise?
🙏Patience does not mean pretending the pain isn’t real. It means trusting God while walking through it.
🙏Some seasons are not meant to break you but to build you.
🙏Difficult seasons:
Deepen your dependence on God.
🙏Strengthen your character.
🙏Clarify your priorities.
Prepare you for future blessings.
🙏Your season of affliction is not permanent. God’s faithfulness is.
*Take-home:*
✍️Today, practice the three instructions in Romans 12:12:
✍️Choose hope over negativity.
✍️Refuse to rush God’s timing.
✍️Set aside intentional time to pray, even if briefly.
✍️Instead of asking, “When will this end?” try asking, “Lord, what are You teaching me in this season?”
*Memory Verse:*
Romans 12:12 (NIV)
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
*Suggested Prayer:*
Father, in this difficult season, help me to remain joyful in hope. Teach me patience when I feel weary and strengthen me to stay faithful in prayer. Remind me that You are working even when I cannot see it. Give me grace to trust You completely and courage to endure until breakthrough comes. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

MY DAILY EXPERIENCE OF CHRIST DEVOTIONAL
*15th February*
TEXT: *Col.2: 6–7*
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”
TITLE: *Growing Spiritually Together*
*Introduction*
Spiritual growth is not a one-time experience; it is a continuous journey. God calls believers not only to grow individually but also to grow together as a body in Christ. Healthy Christian community strengthens faith, deepens understanding, and encourages perseverance.
*What Does the Text Mean?*
Paul reminds believers that the same faith by which they received Christ is the faith by which they must continue to live. Being “rooted” speaks of deep foundations in Christ, while “built up” points to ongoing growth. Growth happens through sound teaching, shared faith, and gratitude. Spiritual maturity flourishes best in unity and fellowship.
*Reflection*
🙏It is possible to know Christ yet remain spiritually stagnant.
🙏Growth requires intention staying connected to Christ and to one another.
🙏When believers walk together in faith, they encourage accountability, share wisdom, and strengthen one another during challenges.
🙏Ask yourself: Am I actively growing in Christ, and am I helping others grow too?
*Take-home*
✍️Spiritual growth begins and continues in Christ.
✍️Deep roots in Christ produce stability and fruitfulness.
✍️Growth is strengthened through fellowship and sound teaching.
✍️Gratitude is evidence of spiritual maturity.
*Memory Verse*
“Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:7
*Suggested Prayer*
Lord Jesus, thank You for calling us to grow in You. Help us to stay rooted in Your truth and built up through faith and fellowship. Strengthen us together as Your people, and fill our hearts with gratitude as we grow in spiritual maturity. In Jesus’ name, Amen

MY DAILY EXPERIENCE OF CHRIST DEVOTIONAL
*14th February*
TEXT: *John 15:13*
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
TITLE: *Sacrificial Love or Transactional Love*
*Introduction*
In a world where love is often expressed through exchanges—“I give so that you give back” many relationships have become transactional. Love is shown when it is deserved, returned, or rewarded. But the love Jesus demonstrated was radically different. It was sacrificial.
Sacrificial love gives without demanding repayment. It serves without applause. It remains faithful even when it costs something. Today, we examine whether our love reflects Christ’s sacrifice or the world’s transactions.
*What Does the Text Mean?* In *John 15:13,* Jesus defines the highest form of love. He was preparing His disciples for the ultimate act of sacrifice the cross. To “lay down one’s life” does not only mean physical death; it includes surrendering one’s rights, comfort, pride, and personal gain for the good of another.
Jesus’ love was intentional and costly. He chose the cross. He chose forgiveness. He chose us.
*Sacrificial love:* Seeks the good of others.
Gives even when it hurts.
Is not dependent on how others respond.
*Transactional love:*
Keeps score, Loves conditionally, Withdraws when benefits cease.
Christ calls us to love as He loved not based on *convenience,* but on *commitment* .
*Reflection*
🙏Do I love people only when they treat me well?
🙏Do I expect something in return for every act of kindness?
🙏Do I forgive freely, or do I withhold love when hurt?
🙏Is my love driven by emotion or by Christ-like commitment?
🙏True love is tested when it is inconvenient. Jesus washed the feet of those who would abandon Him. That is sacrificial love.
*Take-Home*
✍️Love that costs nothing changes nothing.
✍️Sacrificial love reflects the heart of Christ.
✍️Every day presents an opportunity to choose selflessness over selfishness.
✍️We love sacrificially because Christ first loved us. Choose today to love beyond convenience.
*Memory Verse*
1 Corinthians 13:5 (NIV)
“It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.”
*Suggested Prayer*
Heavenly Father, thank You for loving me with a sacrificial love that gave everything. Forgive me for the times I have loved conditionally or selfishly. Teach me to lay down my pride, my comfort, and my expectations for the sake of others. Help me to love like Jesus faithfully, patiently, and selflessly. Let Your love flow through me today. IJN, Amen.
“Sacrificial love does not ask, ‘What will I gain?’ but rather, ‘What can I give' Revd Tarpah Roland

MY DAILY EXPERIENCE OF CHRIST DEVOTIONAL
*13th February*
TEXT: *Amos 3:3* (NIV)
“Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?”
TITLE: *Financial Unity*
*Introduction*
Money is one of the most sensitive areas in relationships, families, and even churches. Many conflicts and setbacks arise not because of lack of resources, but because of lack of agreement. God desires unity not only spiritually, but also in how we think, plan, and act financially.
*What Does the Text Mean?*
Amos 3:3 emphasizes the principle of agreement. Walking together requires a shared understanding and common purpose. Applied to finances, this means progress and stability are possible only when there is unity in financial vision, values, and decisions. Without agreement, efforts become divided and ineffective.
*Reflection*
🙏Financial unity does not mean everyone earns the same or spends the same way, but it does mean aligning our hearts and plans with God and with one another.
🙏Whether in marriage, family, or church, financial disagreements can hinder peace and progress.
🙏God calls us to honest communication, wise stewardship, and collective obedience so that our resources can fulfill His purpose.
*Takehome*
✍️Unity is essential for financial progress.
✍️Agreement brings peace, direction, and stability.
✍️Financial decisions should be guided by God’s Word, not impulse.
✍️Open communication and shared vision prevent conflict.
*Memory Verse*
“Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?” Amos 3:3 (NIV)
*Suggested Prayer*
Lord, help me to walk in agreement with You and with those You have joined me with. Give us wisdom, honesty, and unity in all financial matters. Align our hearts and decisions with Your will, so that our resources will bring glory to You and blessing to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen 🙏
