__40 days Prayer and Fasting devotional_ ._
*Theme: "Father, Help me"*
_Ps.121.1 - I will lift up my eyes to the hills-- From whence comes my help?
Ps.121.2 - My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth._
*Day 3*
*The Help of the Lord does unlimited things in our lives.*
_Ps.34.17 - The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles.
Ps.34.19 - Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the LORD delivers him out of them all._
Calvary greetings in the mighty name of Jesus. Our reflection today is on the biblical truth that we cannot overwhelm God with our problems. Affliction means; a state of pain, suffering, distress or agony. The righteous man or woman can have many of such things in his/her life at a point. A righteous man can have many problems to deal with at a time. You can testify of this in your life. Yet, the Bible says that the Lord delivers him from them all. Not from one of the troubles or two of the afflictions. The Bible says that, the Lord delivers him from them all. Hallelujah! While some allow their problems to overwhelm them thereby resulting to depression and other related health issues, others turn their afflictions into testimonies. There are those who even abandon their calling simply because they have been suffocated by too many problems in their lives and assignments. There's a way out.
I know you're going through a lot. I know that I can't understand what you have to deal with on daily basis. But I want to let you know that while that might be your present reality, it is not meant to last forever. Such things exist such that the glory of God can be revealed in your life. Even now, all of it can be gone. Hallelujah!!!
Our faith in God is activated by the knowledge of His willingness and ability to intervene in our lives.
_Ps.50.15 - Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me."_
He's always willing to help and He's able. He asked Abraham if there's anything too hard for Him to do (Gen. 18:14)? It doesn't take eternity for Him to do that which is eternal.
Instead of focusing on the many troubles or afflictions in your live, start focusing on the testimonies you'll have to share for His glory. Hallelujah Hallelujah. The difference between the believer who's drowned by afflictions and the one whose faith turns them into testimonies is prayers. Lift up your voice today and cry out "Father, Help me".
*Prayer.*
1. Father in your mercy, favour me and give me rest.
2. Open my eyes to see the help you have stationed around me.
3. Father, order my steps to those you have assigned to help me.
4. Father in the name of Jesus deliver me from all my troubles and take the glory.
*Confession/meditation*
I live in the realm of divine help. The helper lives in me, therefore help is mine. I walk in all round rest. I am totally occupied in living for God.
