Ce premier dimanche du Carême, le Dimanche de l’Orthodoxie a été célébré avec ferveur dans la Cathédrale Orthodoxe de la Sainte Résurrection du Christ à Abidjan, en République de Côte d’Ivoire. Dans la joie et l’unité de la foi, l’Église a proclamé solennellement :

« Telle est la foi des Apôtres, telle est la foi des Pères, telle est la foi des Orthodoxes, telle est la foi qui affermit le monde ! »

La divine liturgie a été célébrée par le Très Révérend Archiprêtre Jérémie d’Abidjan, ainsi que le Diacre Père Jean Mari.
À la fin de la Divine Liturgie, la procession solennelle des Saintes Icônes a eu lieu autour de la Cathédrale, témoignage vivant de notre foi dans le mystère de l’Incarnation du Seigneur et dans le triomphe de l’Orthodoxie sur l’iconoclasme.
Au cours de la Divine Liturgie, une office commémoratif a été célébré pour le repos de l’âme du Dorteur Bassit ASAAD, avec des prières pour le repos de son âme et le réconfort de sa famille.

This first Sunday of Lent, Orthodox Sunday, was fervently celebrated in the Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Resurrection of Christ in Abidjan, Republic of Côte d'Ivoire. In joy and unity of faith, the Church solemnly proclaimed:

"Such is the faith of the Apostles, such is the faith of the Fathers, such is the faith of the Orthodox, such is the faith that strengthens the world!"

The Divine Liturgy was celebrated by the Very Reverend Archpriest Jeremiah of Abidjan, along with Deacon Father Jean Mari.

At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy, the solemn procession of the Holy Icons took place around the Cathedral, a living testament to our faith in the mystery of the Incarnation of the Lord and in the triumph of Orthodoxy over iconoclasm.

During the Divine Liturgy, a memorial service was celebrated for the repose of the soul of Dormant Bassit Asaad, with prayers for the repose of his soul and the comfort of his family. Eternal memory!

Αυτή η πρώτη Κυριακή της Σαρακοστής, η Κυριακή της Ορθοδοξίας, εορτάστηκε με θέρμη στον Ορθόδοξο Καθεδρικό Ναό της Αγίας Αναστάσεως του Χριστού στο Αμπιτζάν της Δημοκρατίας της Ακτής Ελεφαντοστού. Με χαρά και ενότητα πίστης, η Εκκλησία διακήρυξε πανηγυρικά:

«Τέτοια είναι η πίστη των Αποστόλων, τέτοια είναι η πίστη των Πατέρων, τέτοια είναι η πίστη των Ορθοδόξων, τέτοια είναι η πίστη που ενδυναμώνει τον κόσμο!»

Η Θεία Λειτουργία τελέστηκε από τον Πανοσιολογιώτατο Αρχιερέα Ιερεμία του Αμπιτζάν, μαζί με τον Διάκονο Πατέρα Jean Mari.

Μετά το πέρας της Θείας Λειτουργίας, πραγματοποιήθηκε η πανηγυρική λιτάνευση των Ιερών Εικόνων γύρω από τον Καθεδρικό Ναό, μια ζωντανή μαρτυρία της πίστης μας στο μυστήριο της Ενσάρκωσης του Κυρίου και στον θρίαμβο της Ορθοδοξίας επί της εικονομαχίας.

Κατά τη διάρκεια της Θείας Λειτουργίας, τελέστηκε επιμνημόσυνη δέηση για την ανάπαυση της ψυχής του κοιμισμένου Bassit Asaad, με προσευχές για την ανάπαυση της ψυχής του και την παρηγοριά της οικογένειάς του. Αιωνία της μνήμης!

Après la célébration, le corps a été conduit et inhumé au cimetière de Williamsville.

At 10:30 a.m., Archpriest Jérémie Behanzin celebrated the funeral service for a layperson, Sister Madeleine Sahoua Pregnon, in the IVOSEP Treichville hall.

Following the service, the body was taken to and buried in the Williamsville cemetery.

Ce jeudi 5 février 2026, le Très Révérend Archiprêtre Jérémie Behanzin, Vicaire Général de l’Archevêque en République de Côte d’Ivoire, accompagné du Révérend Père Barnabé, Grand Économe et Curé de la paroisse Saint Nectaire, ainsi que du séminariste Enock Behanzin, ont été reçu par Monsieur KOULIBALY, le Préfet de la ville d’Agboville entouré des Sous-Préfets.
Cette rencontre fraternelle fut l’occasion d’un échange chaleureux des vœux de la nouvelle année, marqué par une prière pour le Président de la République éternelle toutes les autorités suivies des paroles de paix, de bénédiction et de collaboration pour le bien de la communauté.
