ADRA Ghana Hosts General Conference Vice President Dr. Audrey Anderson

Accra, Ghana — August 25, 2026 — Adventist leaders in Ghana, in partnership with ADRA Ghana, welcomed General Conference Vice President and ADRA International Board Chair, Pastor Dr. Audrey Anderson, during a special luncheon held at the ADRA Ghana Office. Dr. Anderson is currently in the country leading a delegation from the GoodOne Project, a social enterprise established by ADRA International, to visit project sites across Ghana.

She was accompanied by Sherry Jackson, GoodOne Global Project General, and Dr. Alex Balint, Chief Operating Officer of GoodOne Global, LLC.

Addressing ADRA staff and church leaders during the luncheon, Dr. Anderson highlighted the significance of her visit as Board Chair. She emphasized that witnessing the projects firsthand would enable her to return home with "stories about the goodness of God, the goodness of the people, and the goodness of the cashew nuts." She also conveyed greetings and appreciation from Elder Kohler, who thanked the workers for their faithfulness in challenging circumstances.

Dr. Anderson expressed profound appreciation for the warmth and hospitality she experienced in Ghana. Dr. Anderson concluded her remarks with a prayer, asking God to continue guiding leaders as they plan for OneVoice 27 and reach people across the nation.

Dr. Kankam praised church leaders Pastor Adeefe Kwakye, President of the South West Ghana Union Conference, and Chaplain Peter Kwabena Nyarko Duodu, President of the South East Ghana Mission, for their unwavering support, noting that such collaboration is essential to advancing the mission.

Church leaders were delighted to welcome Dr. Anderson and pledged their continued support for ADRA's work in the country.

In a related development, the Women's Ministries department held a short welcoming ceremony earlier in the day to honor the General Conference Vice President, who also oversees the Women's Ministries department at the General Conference.
