In May of this year, there was a global fast for Israel of 21 days duration, as many prophets and intercessors were hearing and sensing that danger was coming. As most would be aware, a war started on October 7 when Hamas attacked Israel in the early morning hours. A truce was negotiated which began on Friday, November 24 during which some hostages (not all) taken by Hamas on October 7 were exchanged for convicted Palestinians held in Israeli prisons. That truce lapsed in the early hours of December 1.

With the resumption of the war, a coalition of leaders in the body of Christ has felt that it is time for another 21-day fast. This fast will commence on December 2 and end on December 22. We are asking all participants to fast as you feel led - whether a Daniel-Fast, one meal per day, or complete abstinence from food.

Additionally, we would like to begin a cycle of monthly seven-day fasts beginning on January 2-8, and continuing over these same dates each month until the war is over and the current wave of global antisemitism subsides. We will post periodic updates about this subsequent wave of monthly fasts after the current 21-day fast ends.

This is admittedly short notice, but the fast which Esther called for her people (Esther 4:12-17) began on a moment’s notice as well. Reducing or ceasing eating doesn’t need a long preparation period. We hope you will join with us in fasting for the peace and safety of Jerusalem (Ps. 122:6).

“The level of revelation God gives you will always be equal to the level of mystery you’re willing to live with. And the inability to live with mystery is your resistance to childlikeness. It’s childlikeness that gives us access to dimensions and realms of the kingdom that you can’t get in any other way.”

This morning Pastor Bill shared a profoundly heartfelt, costly message that is foundational to a life of faith. Pastor Bill, we honor the sacrifice you made to be with us this morning. Thank you for consistently modeling what it looks like to pursue the presence of God with the curiosity and the awe of a child. Mark 10:15 says, “Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child will not enter it at all.” As a house, we will continue to press into presence with the childlike faith that was imparted to us today and press in to see His kingdom at a greater measure than we have before.

Church, we encourage you to tune into this morning’s service to hear the powerful message Pastor Bill gave. What a privilege it was to be led through the journey of bringing our whole selves as an offering to the Lord, even when it is costly. We pray that you are empowered to see the goodness of God and wholly worship Him in every season. May you be blessed with courage to lean into mystery and experience who He is as an unfailing, unchanging Father who is always good.

In February 2022, we called the global Church to pray as our beloved Senior Leader, Beni Johnson, wife of Bill Johnson, has been contending with cancer.

Hundreds of thousands of you have been praying regularly for her complete healing. Here is the current situation: Late last week, Bill, Beni, and their doctors felt that the time had come to transition from treating the cancer with chemotherapy to relieving her symptoms. Beni is now at home with hospice care.

We continue to stand with the Johnsons for Beni’s complete healing. Medicine is a blessing and a great help, but in this moment we need a miracle from the Lord. Please continue to pray for a total deliverance from all cancer, and for Beni’s strength to be renewed.

Here is our prayer: Jesus, we ask that You would heal Beni’s body and extend her life. We declare this is not her end—there is more to come and You are speaking a better word over her. Father, we ask that You would revive her body, redeem this season of sickness, and renew her life in Jesus’ name.

PERFUME OF NATIONS: COVERING THE MIDDLE EAST

As our family in Afghanistan, Lebanon and the Middle East are going through an intense time of shaking now, we want to gather as one Body to declare life over these regions, that His light might shine through and remove any veil that hinders love. Just as a nation can be born in one day, we believe that the atmosphere will shift as we bring our brothers and sisters before the throne-room. His Kingdom will be manifest. His love, mercy, and strength will overflow to all those in need.

Please join us as we gather on September 11th for “Perfume of Nations” from 5 AM - 7 PM PDT (Vancouver) for 14 hours of worship from many nations, colours, tribes, and tongues.

UPCOMING • Join us on May 17th for the Shavuot gathering at 5AM PDT Vancouver / 3PM IDT Jerusalem. The Lord is shifting His global Ekklesia into a time of harvest and fulfillment of promises. Just as the nations came together for Pentecost, we want to gather from every nation, color, tribe, and tongue to wait upon the Lord and celebrate all that He has done and is doing.
