Familiarity can slowly dull our spiritual sensitivity. When a compromise becomes a habit or a cultural norm, it is easy to justify it or pretend it no longer matters. But God’s standard of holiness never shifts based on our comfort level. True spiritual renewal begins when we ask the Holy Spirit to reawaken our conscience, expose what we have normalized, and lead us back to His truth.
