My sweet neighbor Mrs Jo and her husband moved from the house near me before Christmas to a local nursing facility.
He passed shortly after.

Mrs Jo has had ALOT to adjust to. She misses her treasured home and the possessions she had acquired over the years. She misses her husband.

After the family cleaned her home out, the curtains were left.

I took two sets of the curtains (that she had made, by the way) and made a quick lap quilt for her to give her a little piece of home.
She told me she had made the curtains when they move to their home over 30 some years ago. And tells me stories when I visit of making Barbie doll clothes, clothes for her little girls, a wedding dress...so many memories from her nearly 90 years💝

So this little quilt is just a memory for a sweet lady to hold on to and remember💞

Steve Day and I have been friends a long time. Met him in 1984 when I move to Nicholas Co from Lewis Co. He was friends with my (now ex) husband and brother-in-law. We've partied together, worked to***co together, just hung out together...we've been friends a long time.

I felt very honored when he asked me to turn his concert tees into a wall hanging.

Steve has the greatest taste in music 🎶 💖 He loved John Prine before everyone else did. He has the most eclectic, wonderful taste.

Thanks man, I appreciate getting to work with great memories!

Hello! It's been a bit since I posted...I know!😂
I have gotten a few things done and I will post them soon...sometimes I have to wait for gifts to be gifted or for me to just get in gear...Life, I tell ya!

Today, I'm just giving a tease of my next project that im beginning today.

My very dear friend Steve Day brought me his concert tees. His dearly, lovingly worn tees, I will say. And he's ready to let them go into a wall hanging.

You can tell from this picture who his greatest musical influences are.

These are not laid out in the order of the end project...I was just excited to jump on here and show off these amazing shirts and brag that I get to work on a project as special as this💝🎶💝

I may work slow but I hope my end result makes up for my speed💞

This one had my heart from 'Oh My My'...
I admit it was hard cutting up all those Tom Petty and Mike Campbell tees. But what a beautiful quilt they made! I've been so envious all the while I worked on it 💘💘
My Petty/Knob friend Kim Johnson was happy...she opened it live on FB ❤️ and so much love has poured in💘💘💘

Here is a precious baby quilt I finished just in time for the baby shower last week! (I'm all about timing! Lol)

My dear friend Cayce Reffett asked me to use her son's tshirts for the quilt for her new, soon to arrive grandson.

What an honor to create this quilt that Lance and Gracie can give Atticus James.

Thank you Cayce for letting me be part of this moment in your family.

I also did these little buntings for her mantle. I still owe her fall and Christmas ones...
She is my best critic and technical advisor💝

I've got an amazing (AMAZING) tshirt quilt just waiting for the longarm lady to get it completed...it's phenomenal...not because I did it...because of the shirts. Oh my my...💘 I can't wait to show you...💝

I'm very thankful for the opportunities I've been given...this beautiful quilt is a perfect example...
When my friend Kim Bush told me she had the beginnings of a quilt her mother-in-law had started before she passed away, I was nervous. I don't normally finish someone else's work.
It was to be a gift for Kim and David's son Joseph's wedding that Mrs. Bush never finished.

Mrs Betty Bush had made the majority of these beautiful blue and yellow log cabin squares...I needed about 8-10 more squares to complete the quilt. She had some material in her stash to match exactly...I found some in mine to make do.
I didn't get it done in time for the wedding, but it's still one of my most favorites💙💛💙

My friends Michael and Tracy Brown asked me to create this for his Mom's 84th birthday.

My Tom Petty Nation/Mike Campbell friend Kim Johnson entrusted me with her tshirts and mailed them to me to make her best friend Renee a quilt for her birthday!
How great is that?!💝
I heard there were tears involved when the box arrived 😭 🥰💘
I am so happy that everyone is happy...that's my goal💞💞
