“Word for Today”
Verse: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” — Philippians 4:13 (NKJV)
There are days when our to-do lists seem endless—deadlines to meet, problems to solve, roles to fulfill, and people depending on us. Sometimes, we wake up feeling tired even before the day begins. But this verse—so short, yet so powerful—reminds us that we are not alone in the journey.
“I can do all things…”—these are not words of pride or self-confidence, but of faith. Paul, the writer, wasn’t saying he could do anything on his own. He was saying that through Christ, he had the strength to endure, accomplish, and overcome.
Whether today’s tasks are big or small, exciting or exhausting, you have access to the strength of Jesus Christ. You are not limited by your own strength because His power is available to you.
What Does This Mean for You Today?
1. When you feel tired, He gives strength.
2. When you feel unqualified, He equips.
3. When you feel overwhelmed, He brings peace.
4. When you don’t know where to start, He leads you step by step.
Start your day with a prayer. Invite Christ to empower you for everything ahead.
Face your tasks with confidence. His strength is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).
Take breaks and breathe. Rest is not laziness—it’s part of trusting that God is working with you.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for another day. I surrender all my plans and responsibilities to You. Strengthen me for the tasks ahead—whether big or small. Help me to remember that with You, I can do all things. Guide my thoughts, my actions, and my attitude today. In Your name, Amen.
