St Peter Claver Church, Tampa - Social Justice Ministry St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, Tampa - Social Justice Ministry participates in promoting justice, fairness and the dignity of people in our community.

Peter Claver Catholic Church once again has been called to join over 20 interfaith congregations to participate in promoting justice, fairness and the dignity of people in our community. As a member congregation of the Hillsborough Organization for Progress and Equality (HOPE), we are able to join forces to collaboratively address serious problems and achieve long term solutions in multiple areas (e.g., Discrimination, Healthcare, Housing, Immigration, Education, Crime/Safety, etc).

Incredible turnout on Tuesday! It’s inspiring to see the Tampa Bay community coming together to tackle housing and flooding resiliency. Let’s keep this momentum going all the way to April 20th! 🙌

On Tuesday, hundreds of justice seekers showed up for our 2026 Rally to prepare for the April 20th Nehemiah Action. We welcomed Greater Mt Carmel AME Church into HOPE membership, heard exciting reports from our research committees, and prepared to bring over 1,600 people to the Nehemiah Action.

At the Nehemiah Action, 1,600 community members will seek leadership from County, City, and School District officials to take concrete steps towards improving our housing and education systems and strengthening flooding resiliency. Don't miss it-- your presence makes a difference! Details below:
