Before you say “I am SYL”… do you still remember why SYL exists?

SYL was never created as a title to wear or a position to hold.

It was raised as a response to a need in the church that young people moving beyond Pathfinder age would not lose direction, depth, or discipleship in their walk with God.

SYL exists to ensure that this stage is not wasted…
but intentionally guided.

Not just active in church…
but formed in Christ.

Not just growing older…
but growing deeper.

Because SYL is not about recognition.

It is about responsibility, mentorship, and spiritual formation.

So when you say “I am SYL,” remember this:

You are not just serving a department…
you are part of a mission to shape lives that will not drift.

The World Adventurer Day celebration in Aba East Conference was colorful because of the wonderful initiative of the Aba East Conference Associate Director for Adventurers, MG Jane Okpokiri, and her crew, who made the Adventurer T-shirts possible, alongside the endless support of the AEC AYM Director, PST/MG Ahuruezenma Kingsley Ugorji, towards the Adventurer Club Ministries. 💙

MG Jane Okpokiri is deeply passionate about children and always committed to bringing out the best in every child she comes across. Through her love, sacrifices, time, and dedication, many children are continually inspired and encouraged to grow.

Thank you for worshipping with us at Ogbor Township Church. May God continue to bless and strengthen you in Jesus’ name. Amen. 🙏

The World Adventurer Day celebration at Ogbor Township Church was a glorious and spiritually uplifting event centered on the theme: “Walking With Jesus.”

The children blessed the church through song presentations, talent displays, and various activities that reflected their love for God and their growing gifts.

One of the highlights of the program was the Family Blessing session, where parents presented gifts to their children as a symbol of love and spiritual commitment.

The Adventurer Club also appreciated the parents with little tokens for their support and dedication to the children.

The Family Blessing session was anchored by the Aba East Conference Adventurer Director MG Jane Okpokiri and it was a heavenly experience.

We sincerely appreciate our District pastor MG innocent Ezebuiro, Parents , Leaders, supporters, sponsors especially Mrs Queen Nwaogu. Our Adventurer Director MG Gold Ogbonna and her deputies,our Eld in charge of youth MG E. C Agbara, the Local church Coordinator MG Adaeze Uloma Eze, The District coordinator MG Munachi Ubani and every leader whose efforts made the program successful.

Indeed, the program was not just a celebration, but a reminder of the importance of raising children to walk with Jesus.
