Rev. Manasseh Ibrahim, a pastor with Evangelical Church Winning All, was reportedly ambushed and killed while traveling to serve church members in Kaduna State, Nigeria.

His death is another painful reminder of the danger many Christians in Nigeria continue to face, including attacks on pastors, families, churches, and entire communities living under the shadow of violence because of their faith.

Local Christian leaders expressed grief and exhaustion after the killing. Rev. Yahaya Kinge of the Christian Association of Nigeria said believers in the region can no longer bear the weight of repeated attacks.

“The hard push of Christians to the wall through incessant attacks is enough,” he said. “We can no longer bear this brunt.”

Rev. Ibrahim’s death reminds believers around the world that persecuted Christians must not be forgotten. When one part of the body of Christ suffers, the whole Church is called to remember, pray, and stand with them.

Please pray for Rev. Manasseh Ibrahim’s family, for grieving believers in Kaduna State, and for persecuted Christians across Nigeria. Pray for God’s comfort, protection, justice, and peace over communities that have endured far too much pain.
