On June 21, we celebrated Vidpust during the Divine Liturgy with Father Basil and Bishop Michael Smolinski leading the service. After the service, Parish Council President Doreen Rathgeber presented Bishop Smolinski with an honorarium and thanked him for coming out to our beautiful church.

ANNOUNCEMENT: GARDENING ENTHUSIASTS TAKE NOTE! 🌸🌼

A new event will be held next May 2027 as a St. Mary’s Parish Fundraiser. We will be looking for donations of perennials, extra bedding plants/annuals or even rhubarb, asparagus, trees, shrubs, etc. Basically, any plant(s) that you are willing to donate (maybe not weeds) for this event will be greatly appreciated. So please take inventory this spring of plants that you might be willing to donate next year.

On the day of the event next spring, you will be given a coupon (likely $2) for each plant donated. You can use the coupon towards the purchase price of other plants. So please spread the word. More information to follow in future bulletins and Facebook posts.

On Sunday, May 10 we celebrated the First Solemn Holy Communion during the Divine Liturgy.
To the First Communicants, may the happiness of this celebration continue as you begin to grow a new life with Jesus Christ.

Yesterday we held our Living Rosary and Strawberry Social. Even though the weather did not allow us to be outside, we were able to come indoors pray the rosary. Thank you to everyone that came out yesterday to celebrate and pray.

If you are doing some spring cleaning and have some treasures that you dont know what to do with, the Bi-Annual Treasure Market will be held again next year. We kindly ask that you hold onto your treasures until next years treasure market. Stay tuned for more updates about the Treasure Market.

The Saskatchewan Pro-Life Association will once again be declaring May as Respect for Life Month. To recognize the month, SPLA are partnering with the Archdiocese of Regina Reverence for Life Commission to sponsor a provincial speaking tour featuring Larry Worthen, Exec. Director, Christian Medical & Dental Association, who will alert us to the threats of Medical Assistance in Dying being extended to those whose only criteria is struggling with a Mental Illness.

MAiD for You? Canada’s MAiD Expansion to Mental Illness tour offers a space to engage in the conversation and gain an awareness and understand about what’s changing in Canada’s MAiD law— and what it could mean for patients, families, and communities.

Worthen will be speaking at St. Mary's Cultural Centre, Yorkton, @ 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
