🏅🍁 TEAMWORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK! 🏆⚽

Here are a few highlights from our CWL Sports-Themed Potluck & Fellowship on Wednesday, June 10. Even a sudden power outage couldn't dim the incredible team spirit and warm fellowship shared throughout the hall.

A big thank you to Fr. Sebastian for blessing our meal, and a warm welcome to our special guests: Denise Morris (Diocesan President), Nelly Kelders (Diocesan Vice-President), and Kathy Holly (Ingersoll Regional Chairperson). We were also deeply honoured to have Denise share a few inspiring words with our members.

Our Council President, Linda Ferraro, opened the program with a grace-filled member service pin presentation with our Council Vice-President, Maria Odumodu. We also celebrated the launch of our Summer Newsletter, made possible through the contributions of our members.

The afternoon concluded with a closing prayer by Carmen Velocci, followed by time for fellowship and socialising.

Thank you to everyone who brought their favourite dishes, sports jerseys, and joyful spirit. It’s always a winning day when we gather together in faith, friendship, and community!

The Catholic Women’s League invites our parish community to join us in supporting Canadian Blood Services. By donating, we can truly unite ourselves to Christ’s sacrifice and care for humanity.

🕊️ WELCOMING NEW MEMBERS ON PENTECOST SUNDAY 🕊️

Our CWL Council had the absolute joy of welcoming our newest members today. How fitting it was to celebrate this on Pentecost Sunday, a day of new beginnings and the pouring out of the Holy Spirit! Our executive team and Spiritual Advisor led a grace-filled ceremony with prayer, readings from the Word, and the traditional presentation of membership pins. Following a helpful overview of the League's structure and the distribution of welcome kits, we wrapped up the afternoon with refreshments and fellowship.

A heartfelt thank you to our seasoned league sisters who generously shared their time today; our new members will undoubtedly look to your wisdom and guidance as they begin their journey. A massive welcome to all our new sisters in the League! Together, we continue to grow in faith and witness to the love of God. 🍁

[Palliative Care Week]
We've been truly touched to see so many visiting our display in the narthex. We invite you this weekend to help us fill our vase to overflowing! If you haven't had a chance yet, please stop by to:

🤲🏻 Offer a Prayer: Pick up a paper flower and write a prayer or a verse on it for the intentions of those in palliative care and their caregivers. (See our photo here for some examples!)

💖 Find Inspiration: We have provided helpful articles at the table if you are looking for the right words to express your heart’s intention.

🌼 Join the Bouquet: Place your flower in the vase as a visible sign of our community’s oneness and support.

SUPPORTING FOSTER CARE IN OXFORD COUNTY
The Holy Trinity Catholic Women’s League Council and the Knights of Columbus were pleased to co-host a presentation by the Children’s Aid Society of Oxford County. Guest speakers Jaclyn Fekete and Anna Baik discussed the ongoing need for foster caregivers and the meaningful role community members and churches play in supporting children in our local system.

The presentation highlighted how providing a stable and supportive home environment can positively impact a child’s life. We appreciate Jaclyn and Anna for sharing their expertise and for the engaging Q&A session with our participants.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this important conversation on how we can better support the children and youth in our community.
