We had an amazing turn out for our first service of the year. We truly are blessed to have so many young ones come and participate in our services.

We hosted our annual Christmas service last night out here at Moffat. We want to thank Keith for clearing the yard out of snow and Cody Silverthorn for coming out to install our brand new chandeliers in time for service! As well abig thank you to Joyce for playing the organ for us on this special night!

We had a wonderful turn out as usual for this service and we want to thank everyone again for bearing the cold as it was a chilly one.

We did our raffle basket draw (sorry we forgot to get pictures of the finished baskets). This was also another huge success and we thank everyone for donating wonderful items and for purchasing tickets.

This year we managed to do 5 baskets! And the winners are:

Deanna Lang

We have much to be thankful for here at Moffat. We are forever grateful for our amazing community and we look forward to continuing on next year. God bless and may you and your families have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

It's that time of year again! We look forward to this fundraiser every year. We never know what kind of amazing things will be included in these baskets. Pictures of the baskets will be posted closer to the dates as items come in and we assemble them.

Donations can be dropped off at Brett's house in Wolseley or with any member of the board.

Tickets are also now available, $1.00 each from board members. E-Transfers also available to [email protected] (please include name and phone number in memo).

We are heading into our final service dates for 2025! Tomorrow October 5th and October 19th we will collecting donations for the Wolseley Food Bank. The Wolseley Food Bank serves Wolseley and several surrounding communities and is always looking for donation especially with Thanksgiving and then Christmas right around the corner. So if you are able, please bring non perishable food items to service on either of these days and we will make sure they are delivered. Thank you.

Ahh! With the change of weather this week we start looking forward to more signs of Spring. One thing, we at Moffat look forward to, is the resumption of services for another year!

We have an extra exciting evening planned this Sunday August 17th.
Starting off at 5:00 is our annual cemetery service (bring your own chair if able)
Followed by a potluck supper in the church yard (hot dogs will be provided)
After supper enjoy a movie and popcorn in the hall (movie TBD)
Finish off, with a tent sleepover in the church yard!
Can’t wait to see you there!

Father’s Day we did our annual rock painting to add to our flower bed collection at the church. This was followed by a picnic lunch and a service where we were joined by our friends from Glenavon to celebrate 100 years of the United Church of Canada.

These kids do an awesome job keeping our flower bed colourful and our services lively! Thanks to Lyn for the extra special celebration service complete with balloons, noise makers and cake.

We’re never sure how we get so lucky all the time but we were truly appreciative for the beautiful weather we had this day.

Next service is scheduled for July 20, 2025 at 7:00pm

We were fortunate to have beautiful weather this past Sunday to bring our daffodil cross out to the lane. We will have to see how it faired in this crazy April snow dump!
