The Young Adult Ministry of The Immanuel Fellowship was founded in November 2005 and constitutes a unique family of young people who share a common identity as ambassadors of
the kingdom of God to the emerging new generation. The ministry is currently led by Pastor Dipo Adewunmi who is very passionate about developing and empowering young peiople to live victorious christian lives. Under Pastor Dipo's leadership, God is using the the group to reach so many young people across the city of Winnipeg, calling more and more of them to a life in Jesus Christ. I Timothy 4:12 reads "Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity”. Over the years, the ministry, through the power and direction of the Holy Spirit has focused primarily on affecting the personal lives of individuals, continually building them up spiritually to maturity in Christ. With this focus in mind, the ministry holds fellowship meetings twice every month and organizes several other programs through the year such as the annual camp meeting, conferences, seminars, praise and worship concerts, night vigils, picnics, barbeques, and other outings. Over time, The Young Adult Fellowship has constantly grown into a Christian family with a sense of community that’s continuously being built through the working of the Holy Spirit among individual fellowship members. Young Adults are able to interact with each other through smaller cell groups in an atmosphere of love and togetherness. The cell groups also serve as a good medium for the young adults to relate with older members of the church community and bridge any gap that exists between them. The Ministry embodies various functional units such as the prayer team, evangelism team, bible study team, Choir team, Drama team, the academic guidance and counselling unit (AGCU), the Men of Honour, and other vital units. It is almost impossible to write about The Immanuel Fellowship Young Adults without making mention of the strength of its Choir and Drama teams which God has greatly used in various powerful ministrations across Manitoba and have been a great tool for outreach on various occasions both in Winnipeg and other rural regions. Most members of the Young Adults Fellowship are students from various higher institutions across the country. This gives reason for a great devotion to teaching them about God’s role in their academics and building them up to be ambassadors for Christ in their respective academic institutions. Through this ministry, God is raising young men and women that will eventually live a life dedicated to no other cause than to gain grounds for the kingdom of God and the propagation of the gospel in all walks of life and all facets of society. He is raising young men and women who will stand up for Him in their various fields and industries. God is indeed raising a generation with a difference!
