Salam aleikum wa rahmatuAllahi wa barakatu. The after Asr youth class at the Pakistan Centre will be cancelled indefinitely due to lack of community interest and support. This program has been running for seven months offering critical advice and lessons we felt our youth needed to successfully function as Muslims in the West. We ask Allah Exalted to guide and protect our youth and motivate their parents to provide these necessary lessons. May Allah forgive us and rectify our affairs.

There is nothing in the authentic narrations to indicate that Isra’ and Mi`raj took place in Rajab. Nothing narrated concerning a specific date for the event can be proven according to the scholars of Hadith. Even if the date were proven, it would not be permissible for the Muslims to single this night out for particular acts of worship or to celebrate it, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) did not celebrate it. If celebrating this night was something virtuous or beneficial, the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would have told his Ummah about that, and his Companions would have practiced that.

Ustadh Faisal: Supporting our children in their challenges at school.

Ustadh AbdulRahman: “Every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The leader of people is a guardian and is responsible for his subjects…” Understanding issues of leadership and community faced by Muslims in the West.
