McClure's “Loose Change” Pot has collected $140.90 so far this year. All funds will be sent to Siloam Mission so that they can purchase much needed clothing items for their guests. You can also contribute through your weekly contribution by marking “Siloam Mission” on your envelope to indicate the amount you would like to give.

In addition to your support for our congregational expenses we are asking you to keep in mind McClure’s efforts on behalf of the less fortunate in our city: on the third Sunday of each month we receive donations of non-perishable foods - in September for West Broadway Community Ministry. For those who would like to make a monetary donation, please mark “West Broadway Community Ministry” on your envelope and indicate the amount you would like to give.

It was great to see many of our congregation back at church last Sunday! There were many excellent conversations as we caught up on what everybody has been up to over the summer.

This Sunday will be the 12th Sunday after Pentecost. Please join us at 11:30 am at 533 Greenwood Place. There will be no potluck after church this Sunday to allow volunteers to set up for the McClure Place garden party on Sunday afternoon.

McClure is pleased to announce that Peter Fyne has joined as McClure's new organist! Peter brings many years of experience of playing at United Churches and he also accompanies community choirs. We have had the pleasure of Peter playing for a number of services at McClure this spring, and we are thrilled to have him join us on a long-term basis.

Our community of faith gathered yesterday to celebrate the end of a successful year as a congregation. Unfortunately our picnic was cancelled due to the weather but we enjoyed a delicious potluck lunch inside.

There will be no services at McClure during July and the August long weekend. We will reconvene on Sunday, August 9 at 11:30 am. We hope to see you then!

In the meantime, Prairie Spirit United and Charleswood United are having services all summer. Both churches have assured McClure members of a warm welcome if you would like to worship with them over the summer.

Apologies for the lack of a Zoom link for last week's service. We will be on Zoom again this Sunday. We are looking at some upgrades to the quality of the feed and some changes to our process so the Zoom broadcast doesn't slip again.

McClure will hold its annual picnic following the June 28 service. Weather-permitting, we will hold the service and the picnic in front of the church entrance (on the west side of the building). The picnic will be potluck so please bring something to share! Rain location is in the MPR.

This Sunday we will celebrate Holy Communion. At this service, we will be taking a "Special Offering" for Oak Table. We will also have an adult baptism at this Sunday's service to welcome a new soul to our flock at McClure.

This Sunday we will join our sister congregation, Rosser-Grosse Isle United Church, for worship and a picnic. Start time is 10:30 am in Rosser. We will be carpooling out. If you need a ride, please contact a board member who can put you in touch with someone who has room in their vehicle. There will be no service at McClure this Sunday.
